So you're saying Sony doesn't like money? Cause I'm pretty sure they need just about everything and anything to help make not only the Playstation division but Sony as a whole profitable. Whether you like COD or not, it definitely helped push both PS3s and Xboxs out the door and TitanFall will likely do the same for the X1 and even still the 360. No company wants to turn down a perhaps billion dollar game.

And yes just because Last of Us is the most awarded game ever ( since they started tracking everyone with a site or blog giving out awards in about 2005 so HUGE asterisk there) doesn't mean whole lot. Besides most of us with a Wii u actually can afford other systems to play other games... Shocking I know!
It's the new flavor of the month. There's rarely any facts to any of these articles other than rumors or here-say. Yes it is being outsold by the playstation but outside that there's rarely any basis to the doom-gloom stuff... It's not like either machine is selling poorly or not helping either company financially

Any multiplat that's on the PS3 and 360 is not demanding in all relative terms to the consoles that are now available.

A new Metroid would almost be expected of them at this point. But I'm going to go a little off base and ask that they'd do a follow up to Jet Force Gemmni... but I don't know owns the rights to that whether it be Nintendo or Rare still. They did such a good job making a franchise their own with Metroid I think with what they could do with Jet Force or Star Fox or something completely out of left field.
You are making the assumption that people expect things for free without the knowledge of the PS + existing which doesn’t work as an argument. If someone gives me a free taco, I’m feeling pretty good. Now if I someone has been giving me free steaks, then someone comes along and gives me a taco… different conversation. There was once a world before PS + and all that really existed was Xbox Live (for consoles). Xbox Live was (is by some people) the gold standard for console internet service...
That was like in 2010.. and if it was a cash cow now, I'm pretty sure they'd be implementing it right away. Not a whole lot of Sony did with PS3 was very profitable... so not sure where you getting that from..
How can something be embarrassing when not compared to anything? Yes Xbox Live has been surpassed in terms of overall value for price when compared to PS +... I don't know people are bashing Civ Revolution though, I know its old but still fun... I sure as hell wasn't complaining when PS + was giving away PS1 games... I wish they would do that again actually.

It's amazing what good developers can do when they aren't constraint by a forced release date and a poor budget.
@Illionaire they are not going to sell their Xbox divison anytime soon. They are getting killed this generation (so far obviously) but they done worse (see original Xbox). Secondly there maybe a .00001% chance they drop everything to "kid" oriented market. They rushed an over priced system out the door with media priorities taking over gaming, and now they are paying for it.
@why o why while that's very true the majority of people that bought say Wii's were causal fans, most of which have left to the market completely to phones/tablets. The PS4 could hit 100 million, but a lot of things need to happen. The PS2 had the luxury of two consoles coming into that generation late, gaining the support of 3rd parties early, plus being a nice DVD player. Also keep in mind Sony sees this generation not lasting as long as the PS3/Wii/360 generation so that might c...
It is extremely Hollywood and coporate.
It will be interesting to see the total numbers sold for consoles after this gen to truely see if the "causal" effect has taken away a good portion of the market. The traditional gaming industry, right now, is not exactly a very profitable business. Sony is essentially breaking even with their record numbers, Microsoft posted a profit for last year but with the need to cut the price on the Xbox One now will only dig into their margin...
That makes no sense, why would a person who only cares what MS and Nintendo be concerned about how the PS4 is doing?
