@Utalkin2Me yes technically Xbox is in the red but so is Sony in that timeframe... so not really sure where you're going with that.
@Fr0sty Xbox turned a profit for 4 years straight (2008-2011). Though they've lost 3 billion (2003-2013), and Sony has lost 5 billion over that same time frame. Gaming is an expensive venture...
http://...
Acutally the vita outsold the 3DSXL model... not the 3DS line.
If I had to guess what would have been the trending articles for the new generation... I would have never guess it would "confirming" 30-60fps or 1080p...
Sony is doing a great job meeting demand now, I can walk into just about any store and find a PS4 now finally. But I also believe demand is slowing a bit, mostly because I think people are going to wait for E3 to see what they have to reveal (along with Nintendo and Microsoft) before they upgrade.
Honestly this should be no brainer for Nintendo, especially to get out in front of potential customers with your most popular franchise.
Sony is in a great position to not have to even if Microsoft does. Microsoft needs/has to in order to keep up over even try and recover some of gap that Sony already has. Not mention Sony HAS to turn a profit or at least come close with the PS4 and it's software, they don't have much room to be financially flexible at this point with the PS4
I'd be interested to see if there's a swing... if any, between the big 3 after E3. I'm assuming there's still a vast majority of gamers awaiting reason(s) to purchase a PS4, Xb1, or even a Wii U, and hopefully E3 will showcase all they have to offer to incent people to upgrade.
I guess I'm just curious to how close these trailers look to the PS4/XB1 counter-parts and then what the Wii-U build looks like.
After watching some of these trailers for this game... I'm just fasinated to see what the ACTUAL gameplay looks like on the Wii U or whether or not they have been just showcasing a pc builds for all these trailers/screenshots.
I had a conversation with a friend I grew up with, we used to play Mario Cart/Diddy Kong racing, NFL/NBA 2k against each other... in person. We are both extremely competitive people and we both never acted in rage fit when either one of us lost, maybe for fear of embarrassment or whatever. Then as gaming took to the internet, our actions became more and more offensive to the point it was/is just embarrassing. I think the veil of the internet has allowed us to act in such a uncharacteristic...
I think the numbers for the big 3 will decrease as the consumers that haven't upgraded yet are waiting to see what E3 reveals. Whether the Xbox will get a price decrease, what games are hitting the PS4 and more importantly when, and obviously what direction/games is Nintendo going to go with.
Same here, just beat Mario 3DW, going back to play Tomb Raider and Ni No Kuni. I thought about buying MLB The Show for PS4, but as a personal rule, I try not buying any sports title at full price.
I think this will be an important E3 for Nintendo... not neccessarily the Wii U. Let's face it, Nintendo has a negative imagine for the majority of the internet gaming community, whether deserved or not. I think they need to build, or re-build their branding around a general direction. Right now they're trying to aim at, causals, families, core, and nostaglic gamers and that's a lot to try to market to. I'm not really too worried about them though, they've been doing t...
I guess my biggest question, outside money, to this would be why? I mean if you didn't play on the ps3, 360, iPad, vita or PC already.... You probably didn't want to play in the first place.
All of these would be awesome, but one has to wonder what the Sony- SquareEnix relationship is like these days.
I can only imagine the gamepad use on this. It's good to see Nintendo getting a survival horror game like this.
This game will be fine. Even with all the disruptions Sony and Naughty Dog will take their time to do what they need to do. Uncharted is a very important franchise to Sony and to gaming in general. Their are certain games that need to be great to drive other developers/publishers match quality for each generation and I believe Uncharted 4 will be one of those games.
Don't get me wrong... they "could" announce a title before hand, hype it up a bit, then do a showcase reveal at E3... but nothing is like seeing the crowds reaction to either a new exciting IP or a sequel to much loved franchise.
Maybe because they're waiting for E3 like everyone else? Why tip your hand early?
Well the Xbox division has turned a profit (see 2011) it posted a $1.32 Billion dollar profit for that year... however it should be stated that they've lost over 3 billion in 10 years of doing this business.
