N4G isn't tied to anybody's Xbox Live account. There's no way to tell if someone is lying or not when they post comments here. And even if "Fanboys are gay" is playing the game early, it's pretty unlikely that his n4g name is also his gamertag...
If you unlock an achievement in a game, your xbox still logs the date that you unlocked it. Once someone decided to re-connect to Xbox Live, it would be seen that they had played the game early. The only way to get away with playing early is by using an alternate account.
Create a new local account on your Xbox360 if you just HAVE to play the game early... PLay the GTA IV early release (pirated or official...) until April 29, then start playing again with your regular gamertag.
As much as Microsoft would like to make you think that it will ban your IP address, that's simply not possible, or fair due to multi-user households. So the most extreme action they can take is to discredit your gamertag.
I when I'm on Xbox Live lately, it feels more like the PSN than Xbox Live
There is always something that could have / should have been done better. A 95-99% is as high as any game should ever get. There is no such thing as perfection in this world.
Analyst predictions, and manufacturer sales targets aren't proof... But polls ARE proof.
Polls query the consumer. And if someone is willing to take the time to participate in a poll, they are obviously interested in the subject matter. That is one of the best way to get a feel for the market.
Why do you think polls play such a big part in political races?
The polls always reflect a near-perfect picture of what the outcome would be if the election were to be held that day....
I guess that would make... 4 versions?
First off, don't hype something when you have NO IDEA when you will release it...
Also... don't keep holding HOME up there as if it's the holy grail of the PS3 experience... I really don't give a sh*t about home...
I never played with Second Life, and I never played WOW... I dabbled in SIMS about 10 years ago, but as for my console gaming, I just want games.
Fix the godd*mned PSN store, and give developers some incentive to develop more games for the f*cking pl...
When SONY announces a date, we need to think... "Ok, what's the longest we would be able to accept this project being delayed? 30 days? 60 days?"
Whatever acceptable delay you come up with, add about 3 months to that, and that's roughly when it will be released.
Damnit SONY, my anus is starting to hurt.
PLEASE STOP posting these hollow flame-bait articles...
Everybody on this site knows that GTAIV is coming out, and everybody here knows that Microsoft and SONY are competing for sales.
Can we just get back to reporting the "NEWS" as in "New information" instead of re-hashing the same topics and insighting speculation!?
If anybody ever doubted that SONY fanbots trolled this site, doubt no more. If nothing else, this article served as SONY fanboy bait, and man, they all bit.
But about six dozen on the Playstation 3.
Attach rate says it all.
Everyone is snatching up the PS3 as a cheap blu ray player, or to throw into a cluster as a cheap super-computing architecture... SONY still can't get its customers to buya lot of games...
Gamers that I consider Hardcore couldn't wait to get their hands on a Next Gen console.
When the news got out that the PS3 was going to miss its spring release, and in fact, come out nearly a year after the Xbox360, many of those "hardcore gamers" emptied their piggy banks and bought an Xbox360.
I loved the PS2.. GT3/4, MGS2, God of War... But I wasn't going to hold out until SONY decided it was ready to deliver the PS3, so I bought an Xbox360, and I've been pl...
I've been playing these b*tches for over a week now on the 360. That sucks.
SO people won't buy it??? Because the console box doesn't have a picture of GTAIV on it?
Retarded...
For 120 less, I don't think anybody gives a sh*t if it's an "Official" bundle... I'll take the $120
The attach rate has NOTHING to do with the RROD... I'm tired of people digging around and pulling bullsh*t out of their a55...
Even if the console sales were a factor due to the RROD, that would only mean that the Xbox360 attach rate is actually HIGHER than 7.5... Let's break it down for the small brains...
I buy one Xbox360 and 8 games... My attach rate is 8... My xbox360 dies, so I have to get a new one... So, now, that's one more console sold. That helps th...
But, Rockstar has never been able to push the envelope graphically. The game will be a blast, and I'm sure the new cinematic aspects of the game, and the physics engine will make the game play great.
But, IMO, Call of Duty 4 and Uncharted destroy it graphically... Hell, even Gears of War loooks better than GTA IV, and it came out well over a year ago...
Since online gaming has gone mainstream, I can probably count the number of games I've played split screen on my hands...
Call me greedy, but I like having the entire screen to myself. It's much preferred for me to have my buddy get online at his house, and connect that way.
Even my buddys who are brothers made the investment to have their own separate xbox 360s that they can play from different rooms of the house. Split screen is kinda old-school in my opinion
But... Everyone that I know who has an Xbox360 and PS3 (which is 6 personal friends) plans to buy the Xbox360 version. I feel like that is the no-brainer choice.
Historically, the multiplatform titles looked and/or played better on the Xbox360.
Couple that with the fact that you KNOW you will have the optional DLC in the future for the Xbox360, and that seals the deal for me.
Sure, maybe a lot of people won't end up buying the DLC, and maybe I won't even get the add...
As much as I'd like faster load times, maybe I'll opt out of the hard drive install on the 360 until this whole thing is sorted out. I just wanna play! Too bad I'm at work, and will be until 4 :(
