its good to know and was expected considering it'd be a pr nightmare if Nvidia destroyed ATI in beta benchmarks because they didn't feel the need to release optimized drivers for bf3.
we all know BF3 is going to be the next Crysis when it comes to next-gen benchmark so it was very smart of both companies to get these drivers out in the wild.
yup this is a demo with a beta label slapped on as to give them something to blame should there be a lot of naysayers.
imo you lose all rights of calling it a beta you're promised access to it if you buy another game. DICE says we should feel privileged. I don't feel that way at all. I bought a product which stated i was gonna be in beta. So i damn well better be in beta regardless.

I mean back in the day jrpg's were GoTY contenders. Now they are just filler while wrpg's sit at the top from the witcher 2, to oblivion, fallout 3, dragon age origins, deus ex HR and one of the most anticipated rpg in years resting on skyrims shoulders.

if you are going to try and discount superior performance and visuals, then by your own logic the blu-ray format is a waste of time. The only thing that really sets it apart from dvd is higher resolution. while the difference from console to pc is
120fps vs. 30fps Ok cod gives you 60 at times
sub 720p vs 1200p and 1600p
limited to one screen vs. eyefinity, nvidia surround
