You have to remember that MS is publishing this game. If SK wants to start all over and build their own property engine to optimize everything the 360 can offer, than so be it. If anyone can afford to start from sratch with the hopes of releasing a system seller game, than that's MS.
Without bashing anyone or taking sides. I'm sure Sony would do the same if it came out last year and there opposition was releasing their game console in the next couple of months. I would think Sony in an attempt to withdraw the attention from the expected release date would entice the masses with releases such as MGS4 and God of War 2/3? Such common Marketing antics? Won't you agree...
Based on the Halo Universe
Depends how you see it. The Nintendo DS Lite is 129.99 and the PS2 is about the same. The Xbox 360 is twice the price. For some people twice the price makes the difference. This excludes games and accessories. If price is an indication of sales than I wonder what is in store for the PS3...
The first FF for the original Xbox was very fun. After playin some Halo and everyone left I would dedicate some time for my sisters and little cousins and we would play FF. This game would rock on the 360 and over XBL.

"Priceless"
Please allow me to share some reason with you and thanks for the wonderful url. Not only does it help me prove my point but it also proves that you should be careful when you try to shut someone up.
"THE AVERAGE AGE OF GAMERS IS 33"
TRUTH, who care's. I never mentioned the average gamer I mentioned the average consumer. According to the ESA that you provided it states:
"The average age of the game buyer is 40 years old."
Whether or not the game...
PS3 and Wii will without a doubt have a dedicated fanbase to bolster their market space. PS3 will sell out on it's debut date. And like the 360 it will sell in limited numbers and cause headaches for those looking for one. But this generation, market share will no longer be dominated by Sony. There will be a drammatic shift in the console race. The true hardcore will stop at nothing in the pursuit of happiness and buy a PS3. I will NOT be one of them. The conservative and less hardcore that m...
The same thing can be said for PlayStation loyalist.
"Most reviews that I've seen have said that the devs were surprised at how fast they could get their engine and game up and running on the PS3 kits."
Please provide actual evidence(biased developers)-thank you.
Actually, Epic is a first-party developer for MS. Epic is currently devided into three-thirds. One third is working on Gears of War, the other on UT2007, and the last third on the Unreal Engine itself. Currently, Epic and MS are in a contract for Gears of War. MS has publishing rights on the game and is financially responsible for the development of the game. Midway Games is publishing UT2007 for the PC and PS3. Midway is known to be a multi-console publisher. So I have no doubt that UT2007 w...
Reading this article brought up a couple of few ideas regarding the Xbox 360 controller. Personally, the Xbox 360 controller is an eccentric and ergonomic piece of handheld device. I could see an additional two button setup on the current Xbox 360 controller. Some where along the buttom of the controller along the hips of the controller that sit comfortably on the palms of your hands ( a la Nintendo 64 Z-button controller). But the current design is just pure genious (not like the PS3 control...
I respect Nintendo and all the innovations that they have given the videogame industry. Their marketing campaign and hard/soft/ware will catch the casual and fanatic consumer. I still play N-64, especially Killer Instinct Gold. (Here's wishing Rare is secretly working on a new Killer Instince for the 360, that will rule). I personally own a Xbox 360 and just recently bought a Nintendo DS Lite, because my girl was taking up my gaming time ever since Xbox Live Arcade started, she's a casual gam...
It would help if we knew a few details concerning the certification process in order to further understand the delays...Maybe the demos are complete, but MS rather delays the demos in order to insure any security breaches to the 360, who knows...
Personally, Microsoft has done a well effort with this generation of hardware and software. Of course, Microsoft has also committed a few setbacks. I believe MS did the right thing by releasing their console one year before the competition. By doing so they were able to have a one year lead before the competition, plus, have the advantage of increasing their software line-up to entice the consumers.
Personally, MS did the right choice with having two SKU units for the Xbox 360. In ...
The only reason why the PS2 outsold the original Xbox was because Playstation 2 had already a predeccessor with installed fanbase in Japan, USA, Europe, and the rest of the world. You can claim that whole 100>25 million console crap but the fact of the matter is. Is that in it's first attempt MS outsold Nintendo and pressumably gained market share from Sony. Something that no other console maker has ever achieved since the inauguration of the Playstation console. This fact only consilidate...
Dude, there's still alot of factors that you still haven't even considered when it comes to the release of the PS3 come this November (or so they say). First, off, not only does the PS3 have to match the already superb Xbox 360 but also the debut of the Nintendo Wii. I have no doubt that the PS3 will sell it's opening day, but come the following month's, PS3 will clearly dissapate in sells. Why? Well, after all the smoke and hype settles, and the Fanboy's are at home playing their beloved PS3...
You can have the whole "PS2 outsells the 360," slogan to prance around with, but the truth is that the 360 has sold more consoles since launch date than any other console in history. And is continuing to do so. PERIOD...
It's funny you mentioned about what you witnessed at Best Buy and the funny thing is that I noticed the same thing at both Best Buy and Ciruit City. Actually when I went to Circuit City they had a Samsung Blu-Ray players hooked up to a native 1080p DLP Samsung, front and center right when you enter the store. Yes, indeed it looked awesome, I can't deny it, but nonetheless sketchy. Practically, the Circuit City guys were having an orgasm just staring at that thing. I was impressed but I asked ...
Prey was sick. The MP concept is sick. After the patch is released the MP will play even better.
