nah, the game is really addicting and is actually a lot of fun to play... what they probably mean are technical stuffs and some other things that were not gonna go into this one anyhow. its pretty common when your developingi an application to learn "lessons" while doing it and not implementing these things until the next release.
it seems like it could be cool over xbox live but 4 player local play should be equally fun... just be careful not to get nickel and dimed by skins and videos.
smitty you must be smoking something because starting after christmas eb games and gamestop were consistently in stock of ps3. My store had ps3's transfered to us from stores that could not sell them.
ok, i see some of you logic... but lets carry it through ok? if the xbox 360 sells 300,000 a month in america through october that would be 3 million in the US. If they sell the same number around the rest of the world, which seems to be the going rate. (so 300,000 throughout the rest of the world, japan+aus+europe+south africa+canada+mexico+south america) then by october they will sell around 5-6 million units around the globe.
Then if they sell 1 million/month between nov...
why is it surprising that the 360 didn't take in more??? the console is older... i say the bigger surprise is that even with the availability of the ps3 it didn't beat the 360 in sales. It is expected with the wii because it is super hot right now, but for the 360 to still be beating the ps3 in sales is downright silly.
from the fact that there are 3 different publishers... in japan its only published by From... in US it is being published by Sega and in Europe its being published by 505.... they all run on different servers
that means the only place that there is going to be a simultaneous release is in the US?? I wonder which system this will be bigger on?
date: wii
marry: 360
kill: PS3
the wii is great for those social get togethers, kinda like a model girlfriend. The 360 is awesome for long term play, epic games, and online play... something i can live with day in and day out for several years. and the ps3? well, someone had to die right?
this has absolutely nothing to do with the sony computer entertentainment department... right?? This is more like how samsung sponsers the NFL. EA has the gaming contract with fifa so I wouldn't expect that to change.
i'm getting very excited for this game... online coop is going to be sweet as well!!!
that the story is being fairly positive about the wii. It is saying how the wii is mirroring the ds is several ways and that there are a few great games expected later this year that could keep the wii going strong.
this seems super sketchy as the game has only been out 2 monthes and the dev team is working on additional content for the game already out... but i suppose its always possible... although, what platform it shows up on should also be taken with a grain of salt.
i'm actually getting excited for this game. I hope it is a load of fun!
you had to buy an ethernet adaptor for it and the slim also had built in infared senser on the front. The slimline was an upgrade in many respects, better disk drive, faster processor (more efficient anyhow), built in ethernet...
if this is true i'll probably buy it... but i'm not going to approve this article because it is too short and doesn't give any real information
or did I just dream that up? i'm pretty sure that this is cross platform though, they had it on display for the 360 at E3 2006
I thought that xbox 360 version was getting patched around the time of shivering isles to upgrade the shader engine and so the graphics between the ps3 and the 360 would be identical?
however, i think the whole busted 360 news reports are getting a bit stale. not because they aren't valid, and not because it didn't happen... but because it IS old news.... yes I know this report talks about launch 360s that stop working after the warranty expired... i understand that... but come on!! this bush has been beaten to death already... what should be pointed out is that none of these reports have to do with the newer consoles.. the ones that have been manufactured in the past 6 m...
i know that the vga cable color washes (mainly because tvs don't do any kind of performance inhancing to vga inputs as compared to components) but what does this article have to do with that?? hdmi will come out some day for the 360... does it matter right now? not really, because 720p looks great through component and my tv doesn't do 1080p.
think about, it seems silly to give the common user the ability to change their disk drive speed... however, the ability for a developer to turn back the drive speed when the level is already loaded makes a lot of sense. Only games that require constant streaming would require the drive going at a full 12X all the time. But games that fully load an environment can turn it down to like 1X while the game is played and then spin it back up when additional loading is necessary.
