Who's cheering who?
Me too.
I'm not sure who is trolling here.
Shows how you didn't bother reading the summary at the top let alone the articleAg
Hmm, apparently it's the backup manager program itself that is detectable.
Not specifically the USB Dongle. I wonder if the programmer was aware of that though. Or if it's possible to fix this.
Nobody is excited for Kinect.
Everyone is excited for 3DS.
That's because it's a database displaying what scene releases are out there. Not a website that distributes them.
Come talk with me 10 years later, kid.
storm his house over a game..?
what movies have you been watching, son
Well HDDs these days cost a lot less than buying many games.
More importantly, I want to see what type of homebrew gets made for this. Could our dreams of mkv playback finally come true?
Well actually, the newer xbox 360s manufactured from this period last year onwards require quite a bit of effort to flash including disecting the DVD drive and soldering wires.
Just to let you guys now, PS3 games have pretty much been available to download for a long time now.

It's just that there had been no successful way to play them until now.
^ Not only that. But like the PSP, it can prevent forced updates of Sony's new firmware. Loads of people are able to play 6.0+ games on a 5.50 PSP.
LOL
Don't start the piracy argument again.
Copying and stealing are 2 different things. That's 100%.
Whether that justifies piracy or not is a different topic.
If the chinese extracted the software, then it should hit the net in some time.
Kinda ironic. The "hack" itself getting pirated.
LMAO. Irony indeed. They should have made it cheaper and made more money in terms of quantity than sell for a ridiculous price.
But anyway, if it's true that the chinese have managed to reverse engineer it and make their own then we should be seeing a free version on the net pretty soon.
ROFL at DaBadGuy
Actually, s0ph1atr0n, since you are uninformed; PS3 games have been leaked and also have been uploaded to the internet.
Here: http://www.abgx.net/filenam...
I just used our best friend google to find this link. You should use google too, instead of making ignorant & wishfull assumptions.
Also, you can play with modded xboxes online. Many people do that and have survived ...
Wrong.
You won't be able to find Halo Reach on any torrent sites or other forms of downloading because the hacker said he won't distribute it.
Although, I've heard of the theory that Microsoft sometimes leak a game themselves to ban modded xbox 360s. Which is why there is such a thing called "scene releases" where they are reliable due to reputation.
You can only sue someone if you know who he is though.
Yeah, thinking about it now, there wasn't a real need to remove OtherOS since the ps3 jb uses a USB Dongle and not Linux.
Modders and Hackers aren't stupid enough to update their firmware knowing the feature would become disabled.
The exploit was used in collecting data that would be used in the dongle.
But the USB Dongle itself isn't using Geohot's exploit.
