so i guess by friday this week we should have crysis 2 vs killzone 3 and crysis 2 vs uncharted 2. we might even see a crysis 2 vs little big planet which wouldn't surprise me because this is news for fanboys.
alan wake is actually a good game but its suffering because a lot of people dont like new ips with new gameplay elements. i would actually buy alan wake if i didnt feel as though my xbox is playing russian roullette everytime i turn it on. i hate when a good game suffers saleswise because it makes more devs think twice about taking risks or dev new ips.

so people think alan wake is in the same league as quality games like mass effect 2 or g.o.w 3 or heavy rain? alan wake is a good game but it isnt great.
one reason it will never get game of the year nod from any site thats relevant is because its a mediocre game. some people can give it game of the year because we are all individuals with different tastes but the game doesnt have the technical achievements that a lot of other big games use to convey a picture, emotions, mode, sound and other things to immerse a person in that game world.
too much variety can be a bad thing, remember gamespot gave ratchet and clank a lower score because they said it had too much variety. anyway i cant wait for killzone 3 which im sure will be the best shooter of 2011.
