Why the downvotes?
I sometimes really wished we as PS community would have a thicker skin compared to Xbox.
PS5 only 2.05m units behind PS4 globally.
I think there's still a chance of surpassing the PS4.
I am a (lucky) release adopter of the PS5. Always been a Playstationeer.
But I can't buy myself a thrilling gaming night from just Microsoft dropping balls.
I am absolutely positive that the PS5 generation will have an even greater second half-time lifecycle.
And I could even wait another full year without Playstation announcing anything.
But I can't buy myself a thrilling gaming night from Microsoft dropping ...
When you have zero sympathy and wish them to die, this seems rage fueled to me.
That's why I asked what agenda it was the made you so upset that you even wish people to lose their jobs.
I find it sad that you don't want to answer such a simple question like a kid would ask "Oh, so why you like the color blue?"
What agenda was that again you are so rage fueled by?
If I was an exec at Xbox, I would have given them every IP.
Because I would know the chances are high we'd do nothing with those IPs soon.
But if they would, which would have been likely, we could then sign a timed-exclusive deal for Evil Within 3, them returning the favor of us having allowed a complete transition.
It can only be benificial to have 3rd parties out there sharing favors with.
But that's just st...
Only two or three days after New Year's Eve they had thrown out a very difficult statement to make: no major 1st party titles until at least March '25.
It STILL amazes me to imagine how they most certainly must have resisted to drop the news. And once they did, how they were probably avoiding the Internet for weeks.
Now that we're past this:
Playstation's celebrating its 30th anniversary in this year's December.
What do the downvotes actually mean?
"No, I disagree on your personal budget limit."
🌚
His answer on that one went straight TBA, too.
This made me laugh out loud.
Good points, thanks for the exploration.
Another reason: you can't re-sell digital copies.
If I buy a game day-one on a disc, I could re-sell it the next day to someone else. Publishers won't earn money from it.
So, a game being available digitally only, everyone who wants to play has to pay.
That's why I think 'please just shut up' whenever I read a publisher can't afford the disc version at l...
I'll never understand how you as a publisher won't release a game on disc at launch.
How is it possible that in 2024 writing data onto a disc and copying it is allegedly more expensive than it was 25 years ago?
And even if it is, you know what - put an extra $5 on the disc version, which'd be actually insane considering a disc price today, but I'll pay it.
I consider graphics to be just a part of the complete technology framework that's running a game.
Technology contains every information that's processed and put through the wire to your screen.
Having said this, my personal 'technically most impressive' game logically changes from generation to generation and is subsequently surpassed by simply better technology that couldn't be used earlier.
So, for example, while I...
Sadly, the undeniable beauty of the game couldn't disguise its inner values.
As it is with so many things in life.
It is an outstanding graphical achievement, no doubt, but technically not the most impressive game I've played.
In fact, its beauty alone wouldn't let me want to finish it.
Oh wow, I totally forgot about Bungie's 'Marathon' and did actually confuse it with 'Concord' over the last several months thinking to myself "Wow that game looked so promising when it was announced and now it turned into this."
Man, just had to re-watch that trailer again now of 'Marathon'. Looks so good & interesting in its art style.
However, I am getting a little bit nervous about the "in order to consist...
I'd be ready to pay 599. But that'd be my personal limit.
The attach ratio of FF was actually as good as the the last Zelda's compared to each of the respective hardware install base, iirc.
I guess development costs just risen. Globally.
... !
There you go, I instantly like ppl making me laugh. ;)
Btw: Very decent results for Playstation. 1.8m behind PS4 globally in shipments. Growth in every segment except hardware. Raised forecast for their next Q.
.
"You're fired! Look, we've only made $30bn profit this year, can't afford ya!
Oh and on your way out, please leave your IPs on the table over there. But you can take that ... what's it called ... oh yeah ... FiHi Push with ya!"
Xbox fan opinion:
"Man, they truly deserve some credit, so generous, so nice, wow."
