@ghost
"That tells me that a majority of gamers are actually fine with microtransactions."
I don’t think that’s the case at all. I remember a few years ago some MT focused game developer said that the vast majority don’t spend any money, but they make a LOT of money out of a very small percentage of players (I think like less than 5% of the players) that do spend.
The other thing (and going back to why I think Sony pushing 10 service...

"In Final Fantasy VII Remake I spent money on mt "
What MT in FFVII Remake?
Bleeding Edge was a thing.
What, what other AAA games use footage of real people instead of a fully CGI character? Quantic Break? We're talking actual filmed footage, not mo-capped.
They don't even have a majority. How in the world is a monopoly?
@LucasRuinedChildhood
There's already deals in place that MS has to honor. There's still 3 more that will still be on PS. After that, who knows. While Sony would be losing revenue from COD going away, MS will also lose money compared to what Activision was making on it being multiplat.
Pretty generous score given the stylistic changes (mostly for the worse) and plethora of bugs.
And I thought Sony stopped using that *ding* logo thing years ago.
If it was only a livery, I'd be like, ok, whatever. But due to the way this works, it counts as a whole separate car in the car collection, so people collecting cars feels compelled to buy it. No thanks.
The thing about 1440p is it's roughly half the pixels of 4K with a third of the GPU power on the Series S. Being that the X isn't even doing native 4K, 1440p on the S is just not realistic.
Sounds like limited RAM could be playing a factor as well.
Because clickbait score.
Devs? I can't believe we allow Japan to play baseball! That's OUR pasttime!
OUTRAGE!
Looks like they really going all out on the livery editor. Forza fans practically screaming for some of these features for like a decade and FH is still stuck without being able to preview a livery before applying to your car (unless you are in the process of buying the car).
Now if players could push back on service games like they are NFTs, we'll get somewhere.
"Takes up about 30% of the resolution and reduces it to 1080p "
That doesn't make any sense at all. It's a 4k game and taking up 305 of the resolution would put the resolution at something like 1700p or something.
They'll probably keep 4K with RT and reduce the framerate.
"personally I'm not a fan of having to constantly go back to a game."
Yep, I'm getting pretty tired of it as well. Play a game to completion and move on. I mean, I usually skip DLC most of the time now too since so much of it is junk compared to what the main game is. These service games just feel like work, and that's why I quit playing MMOs.
My liver could use some service.
10 live service games in 4 years.
Remember when $2.50 horse armor was heavily ridiculed by damn near everyone? Look where we are now. Something like that would be considered a bargain.
