I love that PS5 is so happy with being offline, the Network option is highlighted by default when you go into the settings so I can switch it on or off so quickly.

I bought into the hype. Everyone was talking it up like it was such a great game. Got it and felt very underwhelmed. Didn't really care for the combat at all. Stick with the racing hard tires. The first lap is tricky but a dry line develops and your tires warm up, so they're not bad the rest of the race. With the hard tires, you never have to pit.
Probably the glitched Tomahawk tune I mentioned above, but it only became widespread after this patch was ready, so it'll likely be nuked in the next patch. That car can do the Tokyo Express 600 race in a little over 20 minutes and earns over 800k with the clean race bonus which seems to be pretty much automatic as I'm hitting walls, cars and getting penalties all the time, but still get the bonus.
What Ron said. You have to be exact. The thing that tripped me up was I was missing either the ECU or power restrictor (both need to be set to 70). Then the gear ratios are a bit finicky since you can't just adjust them to what they need to be on the first try since the ratio of one gear can't go past the ratio of the higher gear and vice versa. You kind of have to adjust as far as you can, adjust another gear to give "room" for the other gear to get adjusted correctly. ...
Fast as hell car, set the tune in a specific way and the PP is probably halved. Use it on a 12 lap race and get about 800k

These are the sort of metrics they should be looking at, not how many downloaded it (or just added to the library). If only 5% of people got that early of a trophy, that's about 200k. I bet a lot of those wouldn't have played if it wasn't free. Their original expectations probably aren't very far off.

To be fair, the GT7 shit-storm wasn't just the offline part. It was also about the heavy-handedness of mictotransactions and then followed by a series of significant nerfs.
