June 16th, FFVII 25th Anniversary stream. Only 10 minutes though, but I think if it's going to be shown anytime soon it'd be there.
I'm guessing that was PC footage, but sounds like the consoles will still have ray-tracing still. I wonder what will be sacrificed to pull that off. FM5 had 4k/60 in performance mode. The environments are much smaller, but ray-traced reflections are a bit hit and I'd think ray tracing would be in the quality mode.
Skyrim level facial animations and just staring straight ahead. Same thing people had an issue with on Horizon Zero Dawn. They learned from that and made the conversations much more dynamic for Forbidden West.
I got pretty pissed when I saw the settlement building thing coming back. Collecting resources, building, for what? So we can spend more time collecting resources and defending it, just to watch the enemies spawn within the defenses? Such an unnecessary timesin...
I loved how near the end of the combat part, there's 3 guys they un into coming out of a building. Two guys hide, the one in the middle just stands there, but they decide to shoot at one of the ones that is hiding. Look back to the middle guy and not only is he still out in the open, he's standing on top of a crate (or something).
@outsider1624
Probably. I'd still rather have them working on something new instead.
I guess on the bright side it isn't Lego.
I kind of take issue with the whole ground up part of it. They're reusing the voice work and presumably the story and dialogue isn't changing at all (no writers needed). Reusing (but touching up the mo-cap). It doesn't seem like they're redesigned anything in terms of the environments, but made them look better, so they're not going through the whole concept design, review of different design versions and approval. Sure it's a remake, but I don't think calling ...
Yep. I think that Kotaku article the other day had mention that they started working on Starfield when they were done with Fallout 4.
That's like 16 16 Xs!
Will there be NPCs at launch?
Yeah, that totally fits the MS hands off policy we've been hearing about for so long.
Todd Howard fits right in with the rest of the empty talking heads at MS.
Also, finishing touches? Didn't it get delayed to next year?
How did you manage to leave everything surrounding the Rock out of that?
1. I didn't even know there was a Goat Simulator 2
2. That trailer feels like a blatant ripoff of Dead Island 2 trailer.
Geoff is excited
@Neonridr
Yep, 3rd time. Not sure about the story or gameplay. I'd guess they're going to tweak stuff. Just pointing it out since it isn't just being rereleased.
I don't see myself ever buying it. Maybe if it winds up on basic plus, but I didn't even play the remaster being on plus.
Remake, not remaster. Agreed about wasting time though.
This isn't a rerelease. The game has been remade.
Really? A 30 minute E3 presentation from Sony that was almost entirely 3rd party stuff?
When it was first shown, they said it was in early development, so it shouldn't be a surprise that it won't be out in the next 12 months.
