Looking good, but man that makes me realize I need to upgrade my PC.
2 VERY different games imo. Skyrim (like Oblivion before it) just has an entirely different feel, and to compare them simply because they are RPGs seems wrong. I loved Witcher 3 (which obviously had the graphics and story), but honestly spent more time with Skyrim and would consider it a better overall game/more enjoyable imo.
I really wanted to enjoy Heavy Rain, it seemed interesting. Grabbed for free on PSN, but honestly the controls and pacing aren't really for me.
Maybe I will finish it at some point, but it was kindof a turn off. I was also excited for Detroit:Become Human, but if its very similar to Heavy Rain's overall clumsiness with controls (imo), I may pass as well.
We had the same exact discussions with 3D TVs. Ill give VR another 3 years "mainstream" before the new consoles attempt to role out some new AR solution. Out of all of my friends who game, I know only one that owns a VR setup (Oculus) and enjoyed it for a bit, before it basically now collects dust. Everyone else cares more about massive 4k screens from the couch (myself included)
Higher resolution textures without the models to match can actually look worse imo.
I hate the push for VR. Would have much preferred that dev/cost go into something like a 4k bluray drive for my PS4 Pro, rather than support for PS VR. Much like Kinect and Eye Toy before it, this gimick was absolutely DOA from the start
Biggest takeaways for me are:
1) No set classes, only 1 character
2) Entirely SP. No MP
3) Movement capabilities (with grappling hook), likely a huge change from narrow corridor type fighting in old games

Because games get knocked for poor graphics - hardly ever see people calling out poor physics
