"PS: In terms of scale, let us just say that the town of Novigrad in our game has over 2000 openable doors! Imagine the mass of load time it would generate in the Witcher 1 ;)"

Hahahaha, oh boy, I remember this from the first game all too well.

I'm sorry, but when I read your post, half way through I agree with you, but then it sounds like you completely 180 and mention false advertising is false advertising (which are words that have been circling around these articles) and so forth. Therefore I assumed you hopped on the downgraded graphics bandwagon which is why I said what I said.

If you consider what I just said, then no I didn't blow this way out of proportion because there are far too many posts that l...

"If we don't give devs s*** for showing us something which is below the final product in either graphical quality or features like gameplay, they will abuse our trust, as seen in Watchdogs."

Hahaha, wow, that's just too funny, as if a collection of extremists are going to force CDPR to change their direction. All people like you ever did was bitch and moan about the grass, trees and fire, and guess what, CDPR most likely knows more than you what's best f...

Well, the author did admit that he dabbled in such nonsense, we'll see if he lives up to his word.

Seems like you didn't read the article, but of course you wouldn't, you're just an ignorant troll with an agenda.

Finally, an article that addresses this issue. I'm sure gaming journalism is still in the process of maturing, but this constant stream of negative, nonsensical articles don't really help improve its image, especially now that just about anyone can have a website and masquerade as a legit source of news.

You specifically said "technically, there was a downgrade in the sense of the word" (technical =/= visual) and claimed that the developers kept denying it and not being truthful. You say it's a downgrade because it didn't look as good as a 2 minute trailer that presented an older build. Sorry, but that didn't sound neutral at all.

No not everyone had their own agenda to hate on W3's graphics, but it certainly seems to be the trend on this site, seein...

This is what people don't get, there was no "downgrade" at all, you only think it was a downgrade because you were expecting them to keep the exact look as presented in the 2013 video.

I agree that there was toning down in some places, but at the same time they've also improved in other areas. The dynamic weather system looks glorious, something that wasn't really shown in the 2013 trailer. Geralt looks much better as well as the lighting itself.

Agreed 100%

It's funny, I thought these apparently well informed gamers would know the difference between "bait and switch" and target render, back when the PS3 came out at least (Killzone 2 for example).

What I find hilarious is that not only do they try to find these faults, they also ignore the faults in the 2013 trailer just to push their agenda.

Case in point 1: https://feb33d8763de0c0f2e0... VS http://cdn4.wccfte...

Except the Witcher books came before the Game of Thrones books and the first game released before the TV show first aired. So it would be the other way around. :)

Jdoki has it correct. The operating system of a computer is responsible for loading the drivers in order to communicate with internal and external devices. In this case, neither the PS4 or XB1 have the necessary drivers/hardware to communicate with the Logitech, therefore, the consoles don't support this peripheral.

Wow, the ignorance of this one is astounding :).

You seriously think 30 watts is a lot? I can tell you that it barely makes a differences in temperatures, maybe a 2 - 3 degree difference, which is nothing. My point here was that Nvidia GPUs were just as power hungry before Maxwell, you just failed to understand what I was trying to say.

Exactly, more resources for their GPUs, something AMD can't afford since they're not as big and their main focus is ...

"At least Nvidia improved the tdp/power balance where AMD did only rebadges that are power hungry"

Since when? Oh wait since Maxwell came out right? Which was only a year ago, and is a generation above Kepler(Nvidia)/Hawaii(AMD) GPUs? No, let's not wait for the new series of AMD GPUs to compare.

I mean, I guess you don't remember the fact that even the GTX 780 Ti ONLY consumed not even 30 watts less than the 290X.

Ahhh, so many things wrong with this post :).

Power efficiency? The Maxwell cards are a generation after the Hawaii/Kepler series. Speaking of the previous Generation, the 780 Ti only consumed what, 30 less watts than the 290X, not even? that's hardly more power efficient, wait until the R9 300 series comes out.

Drivers, well Nvidia is more consistent, I'll give you that. Then again, they are a bigger company and have more resources to allocate. AMD&#...

Yes, because people are ignorant and blow this way out of proportion. Suddenly everyone forgets Nvidia's Fermi series of GPUs and thinks only AMD makes mistakes.

You're correct about the ability to upgrade the PC while retaining your Windows key. However, I was mostly referring to the ones who don't have that luxury and have to start from scratch. There are people out there with only cheap prebuilt PCs, laptops or even just a console.

This topic really has been done to death. I'm also guilty of trying to come up with a selection at the cost of a PS4, but I stopped that because I realize that it's just such an unrealistic thing to do. If you're just doing this for fun, or you're truly at a very tight budget (which is coincidentally the cost of a PS4) then that's great, more power to you.

However, I can't help but notice that whenever someone tries to beat a PS4 at the same price, he/...

I agree, it's not the best looking thing. On the bright side, better we have that than another RROD fiasco.
