I do that whenever I have doubts about someone's honkers.
Friend invite always gets rejected though. Alas, I'll never know if they're real or not. =(
No Mercs2?
Oh no you di'int!
... or just have different tastes than you.
I hate sushi. Doesn't mean anybody who eats it likes forcing themselves to eat bad-tasting food.
The MGS4 cinematic (story) trailer was... cool.
Or well, I thought it was cool... I watched it again and it was so cheesy for some reason.
I don't know if there's anyone out there besides Kojima who can take a plot such as MGS (which is laughable on paper) and turn it into such a serious and well-directed way that you don't even notice the oddities.
No DeusEx or AssAssins Creed though? =(
EDIT: Here's the MGS4 one I wa...
I thought reviewers were biased and irrelevant? O.o
@Baka
... but that's a double-edged sword.
It'll only instill fear if Sony gets a ruling in their favour.
Otherwise, it's just more confidence for the hackers.
Only show your might if you're sure that it'll be the last thing your opponent ever sees. Otherwise, you might rush in too quickly and end up like the US-military in it's current predicament.
Don't question their abilities.
They'll kick your face with their bare hands if they have to.
^ Yea, I get that.
However, all they did was use a bit of the bandwidth.
So even if you needed some info for a patient, you wouldn't even notice the extra delay. The admin found out cause he checked the bandiwdth, otherwise, there is no noticeable difference. It's not like they were capping out the servers.
Worst-case scenario is if the server crashed and you needed the data right there and then. You'd have to wait for the server ...
No mention of SystemShock2 was a slap to the face. =(
The DeadSpace encounter thing wasn't even scary. Obvious weak-point was obvious.
... who suffered here?
O.o
Sony should just add a bonus trophy and call it 'Thinking outside the box.' or something...
Only way to obtain it is to hack. Would sure making tracking these monkeys easier.
Although I don't know who'd want to use this. Trophies are put there to add longevity to a game... unlocking them all is like pissing in your own soup.
"The deal is a perfect opportunity to take advantage of for those who missed out on releases such as Donkey Kong Country Returns or Kirby’s Epic Yarn last year."
That... made me smile.
So, it's almost like $60 for three games... not a bad deal... not that great either. Meh.
"Once it becomes an option to download the games for free, there are parents who are then OK with it. "
Eh? Those're some funky parents.
Although it is true that piracy can often lead to sales (for example, a bunch of people heard about Minecraft, pirated it, liked it, bought it.) but the piracy in this case is due to the system being blown wide open, which is the bigger problem since it leads to game files being modified.

Reporting =/= Promoting
The problem of online being affected would be minimal anyways. Marketplace getting fudged by tainted cars would be a bigger issue.
Gotta love all the people that are interested in saying that they aren't interested.
Good to see that hate isn't reserved for only PS3 exclusives.
=)
I'll wait till some real details surface. No idea how much they can actually do if it is slated to release later this year. Hiring employees for a job that's due in 10 months...? urgh.
He's just a love machine.
^ I've seen a few cases where something was hacked and then the owner was told about it. Although the notice was more along the lines of "Yo dawg, get better security. lol."...
It's just that, often times, it's just done through brute-force or through a crude method that isn't worth explaining.
It's somewhat like if someone made a million keys and then tried to open your house door with each one. Eventually, they might hit the jackpot... ...
It's a sea of grey.
The laws governing such matters really aren't that well-developed. Most of the times when the issue has arrisen, the ruling has favoured the 'consumer'.
The whole freedom-of-speech thing itself is a major issue in general. Just look at wikileaks.
Also, judging by some of the comments here, it seems people are a bit confused on what "freedom of speech" even is.
That's because there's more than one definition.
A 'hacker' can mean:
- Someone who likes to tinker with technology and heavily modifies the software and/or hardware that they own.
- Someone who breaks into a system and manipulates the contents in order to be a douche.
- Someone who plays golf poorly
You can't use one blanket statement and hate "hackers". That's like saying you hate anyone who's ev...
