Sales don't equate quality, but are usually a good indication of quality.
Consumers don't continually keep buying the same line of products of poor quality. CoD's sales have increased every year, which means it's doing something right. Ads can't make someone play a game that they don't enjoy.
The article is written from the PC perspective though. Although it's lamenting over an issue that isn't just isolated to the FPS genre. ...
... Put all those old guns from the ProjectNova chapter (Mosin,Sten,PPsh, etc.) into a DLC for multiplayer and I'll buy it.
Nothing else interests me. =/
... or they trigger it to explode. =/
It's been taking it's rounds, though since it's a new IP, the older more established titles get the limelight focused on them.
Battlefield3 and Brink are the two games I have my eyes eagerly set on for some good multiplayer FPS action.
Edit: From what my memory tells me, their hopes were mostly common sense. DICE knows what their fans want. =)
The only suit he got was a lawsuit. =/
Well, there's a 'deluxe' version for PC (which is an odd bundle considering the individual games are cheaper than the package) so maybe it's a precursor to a BC2+Vietnam bundle for consoles?
The game is worth the asking price anyways. =)
KDR means next to nothing in a game like BC2 unless all you do is Squad DM.
Can't you create a new blank account though? That's the desperate course of action.
That's what I was wondering. O.o
... Cause hackers should be easily able to hack the game to use a custom masterserver.
Dude, give me your key. :D
I expect a lot of these keys to be on sale.
Christ, I didn't hear that part about the canon being loud.
Made me jump when it actually fired. =x
Canons for transport, now where do I remember seeing that from? =p
Perhaps, but that would only work if you play on the PC.
I don't know of many PC gamers that will go to such lengths to get a legit version of Portal2...
if they wanted to be douche's, they'd pirate it...
... and if they were just poor, they'd wait till the steam summer sale.
Nope
Outside of the first encounter with the Garrador (and the Regenerators), I wasn't worried about my own survival nor was horror an issue.
Mercs mode was fun though. RE4 was a great action game with some horror-esque undertones, it can be credited for creating a new sub-genre in gaming (over the shoulder TPS)... but in no way was it a nirvana for survival horror.
Edit: @Maria
I agree, but the article tries to show that RE4 was...
Misadventures of P.B.Winterbottom never gets a mention anywhere.(outside of reviews)
:D
Granted, I never even heard of it till the Steam holiday sales, but it was quite a memorable experience, from the writing to the music to the actual gameplay and puzzles.
50 cents well spent. :D
I'd figure M+K with those aim-assists would completely destroy anyone else.
Would kinda be unfair. =/
Battlefield Play4Free just looks like filler on that list.
I don't think anyone is seriously looking forward to it since Battlefield3 will just pound it down.
Edit: Well, I guess y've got a point.
Driver: San Francisco...
I completely forgot about the game. Might be fun if they can pull it off right.
... though I think that spot on the list would've been more deserving to other games... such as Portal2.
Edit: Well, in that case, I'd take Portal2 over Homefront... but ofcourse, that's just personal opinion. Though putting Driver in that list wasn't all that bad as it reinvigorated my interest in the game. I had no idea it was eve...
Aye, it picks up once you start assembling a team.
I was hooked after meeting the scientist and finding out Archangel's identity.
The intro sequence probably isn't that interesting to most people that haven't played the first, but it picks up quickly enough and the characters/story should motivate your progress.

How many of them play WoW?
Most of their OS sales are to businesses/corporations.
The typical home-user pirating their OS, although still a concern, isn't that big of a deal. They still keep their 'market share' if the majority is using their OS.
As long as the numbers show that Windows is the most common OS, they'll be raking in the cash.
