Hi, I play the game on PC and have very few issues with it.
It had major problems on release, but the patches have ironed out most of them.
Played it on a buddie's PS3 copy, didn't notice any major issues on the console either.
I don't feel I got tricked into buying the game. I compared the features, saw the developer interviews, and listened to feedback of friends who bought the game early. I still play it from time to time.

.... Like Battlefield3... or Brink
I agree. This is all Josh Olin's fault.
Screw him indeed.

GamersGate actually had plenty of good deals during the holiday. In fact, some of their prices were lower than steam's (such as for MassEffect and Prey)
The site's design could use some improvement, but their catalog ain't too bad.
Their own games aren't too shabby either. Just depends on tastes.
Heh, the killing floor medics were spot on... minus their ridiculous running speed.
Brink's development (and the preview snippets) seems to suggest that there is some promise behind that.
EA has some bi-polar policies.
Sometimes they're down right angelic with their prices (sales barely a month after a release) ... then they pull of mind-numbing moves like the BC2 Digital Deluxe pack and $60 games. =/
Err... there was HeavyMetal and Cold-Something.
So, there were two new maps.
Virgil is cooler.
@Bathyj
What makes you think they were made for consoles?
If I'm playing them on a PC, I'll get better visuals/performance and what's there to complain about?
I can plug in a controller or a steering wheel and play any of those games.
O.o
^ Eh? DRM isn't really an issue if it doesn't wave its fanny all over the screen whenever you launch the game.
Most (if not all) DD have tolerable DRM. Hell, most people unfamiliar with DRM might not even notice it.
You own an actual copy. You can burn the data files or save them on a USB stick if you want something physical (not possible with all DigitalDistributors, but works with some such as Steam).
Otherwise, you have the ease of installing that ...
As usual, most people will read the inflammatory title and respond without giving the actual article a look. =.=
The innovation the article talks about is hardware. He blames MS and Sony for selling out-dated hardware when they really should've launched a new console by now (or be close to it)
So, MS and Sony are milking the console instead of creating a new one, the same way people accuse CoD of milking the series instead of creating something new.
DLC isn't really free when you're paying $40 more than the PC version.
Bait them with portal2... allow them to figure out that there's free games they can play on steam...
then Steam Summer sale for the knockout punch.
Those devious scoundrels.
Brands are only popular when they actually deliver. You can't simply start off a brand by over-pricing half-baked products and expect people to line up and give you all their cash.
Steve Jobs might make it look simple, but it's not such an easy task.
You can call them casual gamers if you want, but they're still a huge pool of people who play the game because, you said it, "its just fun to them".
If you don't find it fun, then you pro...
That depends. Will the thumbs be in 3D?
:D
What's classier than gouging eyes out?
... Red Orchestra?
... to jump in and steal the credit for himself?
No, the audio has got to be amazing.
