Yes, Sony have said they want the PS3 to last 10 years. And they said the same thing about the PS2. In the PS2's 7th year, the PS3 came out.
What they mean is, they will continue to make and support the ps3 for 10 years, but that doesn't mean they won't release the PS4 before that. I.e, 2011. Same year as M$ releases the Xbox 720.
Second, the PS4 will not (according to those specifications) have the huge leap the PS2 had over the PS1,and the PS3 had over the PS2. Sure it...
Of course they won't call it the Xbox 720! lol
Its just the code name everyone is using until something official is released.
One thing i've noticed though...
According to this article, the PS4 will be around twice as powerful as the PS3...
Now, the PS3 is like 20 times more powerful than the PS2...
So that suggests the PS4, while powerful, won't be the massive leap we saw from PS1-2-3...

It might have been alright 15 years ago, but it doesn't cut it these days. Pad design has moved on and been perfected.

Its not the best. The anlaogue sticks have always been incorrectly positioned and the bumpers on the PS1.3 pad and triggers are a step back!
