Next gen, Sony need to release the PS4 at or before the 720. They can't afford to allow M$ a years head start.
That year allowed M$ a larger market share (obviously) and therefore it became the lead next gen platform for too long.
Like the article said, they were ok fighting a broken sega, but the same slow tactics won't work against M$.

I'm sure its early day though. The PS3 was NOT maxed out with Uncharted 2, theres pleanty of power left in the old dog yet.

It means really old graphics for a really long time. It means endless sequels to the same games but without much of a noticeable improvement.
Red Dead was my game of the year. An open world game from rockstar that WASN'T chavy.

I'm interested in seeing the differences in graphics between the PC, PS3 and 360 versions.
Obviously the 360 will look the worse, but how much worse?
