All the kids(brothers and sisters) at my house are in love with this game and know all of the characters names. They even built these characters in their Minecraft worlds. I still don't understand the popularity of this game and when I first heard them talking about it I thought it was about Freddy Krueger but I wasn't even close to being correct. Also if any game reignited or set a new standard in the horror genre this year I would say PT was as close as it comes to that.
Graphics are not more important than frame-rate. Do we really want better graphics at the cost of performance? The Last of Us on PS4 looks way better than it's PS3 counterpart with good performance yet other PS4 games that don't even look better except for tiny so called next-gen details lag even when it's only aiming to run at 30fps. I would take performance over slight graphics upgrades any day.
Well I became really interested in this game because of the concept of travelling to different planets. But my hype is starting to dry out because we still don't really understand what you are going to be doing other than exploring endlessly.
Bad performance showed up a lot this year in games. Hopefully the next year of games are better optimized.
I have Time Warner Cable as my local Internet monopoly and get 20mbps down and 5mbps up which PS Now says I pass the connection test and it's connected through a ethernet cable. Well I tried Killzone 3 and the latency made it almost unplayable and the graphics downgrade compared to running it on my own PS3 is completely noticeable. I might be able to get over the worse graphics but that latency is just so bad I can't imagine people who have worse connections. Also don't bother wit...
Casual gamers could care less about frame-rate and many console gamers don't care how powerful PC builds can be. So this statement the PC will now magically be seen as superior to every gamers machine because there is a counter on Steam (even though people who really care about frame-rate have fraps), comes at me like a very delusional Steam PC fanboy comment. I love my consoles and custom built computers just as much as anybody but this PC superiority complex thing many people have is ir...
If you don't have fiber optic internet don't play games on this service it will make you think that these games are bad even though most of them are not, it's just latency issues.
So your telling me there are idiots who use Steam that don't know what frame-rate their games are locked to and console gamers will care what some random persons random PC build is because a number is now displayed on said random persons random PC build even though fraps has always done this. Only people who need a counter are people with weak computers who need to lower graphics settings for better frame-rate or can't tell the obvious difference which would mean they fall into a casu...
I hate PC fanboys saying trash about consoles but that doesn't stop me from enjoying my custom built PC and all of my consoles. There is a fanboy for everything just buy what you like.
At least make it 60fps in the multiplayer mode. I hate playing 30fps multiplayer shooters, aiming and turning is worse.
These things should really be easy to buy, I guess Nintendo are being cheap on the amount they are producing even though they know they will make bank on them.
This is the best theme so far along with 20th anniversary theme.
I will buy another Spongebob game when they remaster Battle for Bikini Bottom or make a sequel. Only other good spongebob game I can think of is the movie game but that still was not as great as Battle for Bikini Bottom.
People think the price is the issue but that's not even close to the biggest issue. The biggest problem with the service is latency. I played a few games on the service and the slight delay to the gameplay ruined the experience. I have 20d/5u internet and I can't imagine how bad the latency is for people with worse internet. So if you don't have fiber optic internet I wouldn't waste your money on the service. But the price is good for what you get for 3 months if only internet...
Since they are keeping the price of it secret this close to its debut, it gives me the feeling the prices are going to be horrible.
Your crazy if you think the first 3 Tony Hawk games are greater than the Underground games. Those games feel so out dated yet Underground still plays better than the newest Tony Hawk games.
I played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and loved it. Then I played Tony Hawk's Underground 1 & 2 and loved it even more. Tony Hawk's American Wasteland was next and I liked it but it was not as great as Underground 1 & 2 when it came to gameplay. The next skateboard game I played was Skate 3 and I thought it was trash in every way. After that I played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD and I thought how could this game feel worse than Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, I mean the Undergr...
The worst thing about digital games are the fact that they are randomly removed from sale while a physical game can always be sold even when manufacturing of the game stops.
I want a $99 yearly subscription option. Most of the people who use this won't be the people who are buying PS3 games anyway so it's not cutting into PS3 software profit which means they should be able to sell it at a cheaper price unless the publishers they are getting games from are demanding a steep price.
Well 60fps would make it look better when it's running if it's even going to be 60fps.
