Phantom disagrees again? lol
I'm not sure that I said anything that was false. The PSP launched at $250, didn't it? The 3DS features a 3D screen, motion detection, 3D camera, advanced Wi-Fi, the ability to play 3D movies, comes with a 2GB SD card (which is quite handy), you can transfer your existing DSiWare titles to it and more.
I feel that it is worth the launch price, as it seems to be the most advanced handheld yet - it even seems that it is mo...
Why is everyone hating on Nintendo for a $250 launch price? (Well it's rumoured to be $250, and very likely to be so).
After all, was it not Sony who set the price precedent for fully featured handhelds? I thought that the PSP launched at $250. How much is a decent iPod Touch (new)?
I'm fairly convinced that, for what is packed into the 3DS, that it's a fairly reasonable price.
I'M a Wii user, lol.
I own all 3 consoles, and I have a great deal of admiration and love for the Wii - it has provided me with hours upon hours of fun (and still does).
However, there is no denying that Move is an evolution of what Nintendo made popular. It's been 4 years, and to be honest, I'm surprised it took this long. I'm also fairly certain that Nintendo's next console would be a further evolution than what Nintendo or Sony have d...
I don't really remember Tetris having a connected story. Or Peggle, Bejeweled etc.
Games don't need to have a story to be fun. In many cases a story is not needed, and adding one would just take away the fun from the game.
These games are designed to be picked up and played instantly - for either 5 minutes or 5 hours. No story means you can get straight into the action, and it also broadens the appeal of these games.
I agree. It's obvious that brand new technology would be better than tech implemented 4 years ago. I'm sure that in 4 years time, there will be stuff that trumps the Move in terms of accuracy. It's just basic evolution at the end of the day.
I'm not saying that the Wii is bad - I love my Wii, and I love all the games I have for it, but the Move is just a refinement and evolution of the Wii controls.
You could compare it to Nintendo creating...
You need to remember that this is a comparison of Sports Champions and Wii Sports RESORT. You know, the one with Motion Plus that gives the Wiimote 1:1 accuracy, and NOT the original Wii Sports.
Resort is MUCH more accurate than Wii Sports - it's a whole world of difference, and I've found that the accuracy between Resort and Champions is pretty much even. If it was a comparison between Wii Sports and Sports Champions, the Move title would win hands down.

A quick look at Metacritic shows that there are 8 Wii games rated 90 or over that aren't on the PS3 or 360.
It also shows that there are 8 PS3 games rated 90 or over that aren't on 360 or Wii.
And it shows that there are 9 360 games rated 90 or over that aren't available on PS3 or Wii.
Obviously not including WiiWare, PSN or Live Arcade games like you stated.
I'm kind of wondering what your point was? Oh yeah,...
Actually, the whole 'flapping your arms to fly' thing has already been done on Wii Fit Plus, and it works really well even without a camera - and plus, it's actually rather fun, and that's what games should be about.
Sorry - my mistake. Got confused between Prime and Fusion for a second. Serves me right for recently replaying Fusion on the GBA, lol.
As I've said in my comment further down, Other M is a prequel to the Prime Series (and more), and is set just after Super Metroid.
It IS possible that Samus has learned to control/conquer her feelings/fears by the Prime games.
I would imagine that her reaction is kind of similar to the likes of Michael Myers sister in the Halloween movies. She 'kills' him, and the next time she sees him, she is frozen with fear. Every other time she sees him aft...
I see many people complaining about the fact that Samus didn't have a reaction like that in any of the Prime series etc.
What people may fail to realise is that Other M is a PREQUEL to the Prime series, and it is entirely possible that Samus has learned to conquer her fears and demons by that time.
And yes, I found it a very interesting article. It's great when you get articles like this on gaming sites that break from the 'Sony vs MS' etc n...
when the games they have put out on the Wii are such stellar offerings like New Carnival Games, Nickelodeon Fit (seriously?!?), Sid Meier's Pirates and NBA 2K11.
Given the quality of most of those titles, I am surprised that they even managed 1%!
I fail to see how this proves that the Wii has dumbed down gamers? It's a child for heaven's sake. You really expect a child to 'get' one to one precision from the start?
If that was the case, kids would be successfully building block towers on their first attempt, or reading War and Peace on first try.
I have never seen an adult play the Wii like that. My 7 year old son does, as do my 3 year old girls, but me, my partner and even my parent...
You do have to wonder about Microsoft's position in all of this. I've got a feeling that they may have had more to do with things than people realise.
RTW developed Crackdown, which was well reviewed and sold well. RTW (according to Jones) kept asking MS about a sequel, but MS didn't do anything about it.
From a business standpoint, RTW HAD to forge ahead with other projects while they were kept waiting - it would have made no sense to sit doing...
I have a feeling that it will be more like the 360s parental controls than those of the Wii. The 360 lets you set a timer (based on per day or per week total), and instead of shutting the console down when the time runs out, it pauses the game and locks you out until the passcode is entered.
A parent can then add an additional 5 minutes, for example, to allow the child the chance to save the game before it gets switched off.
The Wii's parental controls d...
As far as I can see, Nintendo isn't really at fault in this at all. In actual fact, they have been quite clever.
Software and hardware are down - as far as I can see, that is a natural progression given how long the systems have been on top for. Nintendo don't have much room to grow on previous sales, unlike MS and Sony.
The reason for their loss is because this quarter saw them post a 'one-time foreign currency loss'. This is, from what I ...
Actually, it IS $149.99. That article was aimed at the UK market, but MS have confirmed that Kinect will retail in the US for $149.99
It can utilise a total of 2 16GB USB drives, which makes it 32GB.
Final Fantasy was BORN on Nintendo systems, yet you say it's a Sony franchise? lol.
I don't regard the iPhone as a serious handheld. It's certainly not a dedicated one - it's a phone first, with everything else coming second.
I'm not saying that iPhone games aren't good (I love playing games on my Android phone), but I've yet to see anything that can give the type of deep, immersive gameplay that a dedicated handheld (PSP or DS) can give.
Curious about what features your iPhone has that makes the 3DS look like a toy,...
