@Orchard being outdated or not has nothing to do with it. Sony can't slash their bottom line in pursuit of profits they wouldn't see for several years if ever. Playstation is to important to Sony's financials to justify such a move they would get killed by shareholders when the profits started taking a hit. Nobody cares about xbox in relation to Microsofts bottom line, it just doesn't matter, so they can take bigger risks.
First of all the writer assumes the new ps plus subscription model limits its ability to attract subscribers without any proof that there has been a slower than expected uptake. We will know soon enough when Sony releases is financials and unlike Microsoft is likely to provide hard data on how the new model is working in terms of subscriptions.

@crows90 same thing goes for mtx, don't like it don't buy it, its that simple. I see people complaining about mtx online all the time but it's still very profitable for some companies, someone must be willing to pay.
@CS7 Sony intends to make as much profit as possible and would be derelict to their shareholders if they acted any other way. Call it greed if you want but Sony has investors to answer to and projections to meet. The only reason publishers like Microsoft behave differently now is that they're trying to gain market share and/or xbox is so insignificant to their bottom line that it doesn't matter.
I will buy it full price as I haven't played the original since it was out on the ps3. I've almost completely forgot about the details of the story or sequence of events.
Still a stupid topic. Consumers don't get to tell a company how much to charge for their product save for the price the market can bare. If enough people don't buy it then the price will drop but I suspect this game is going to sell like crazy and Sony ain't about to leave money on the table.

My controllers work just fine, I don't know what your issue is Orchard. The problem with the gaming journalists of today is that they complain about nontroversies while they give a pass on, you know games or a lack of games.
Imagine how good the sequel to Astro bot rescue mission is going to be. VR was the best thing to happen last generation for me.

These articles will always be dumb, if all you have is plus like me then gamepass simply doest exist making the comparison useless. Games are games whether they're day 1 or not. I haven't played Guardians until now on premium so it's like day 1 to me, lol. Wait until plus starts showing higher subscriptions than gamepass then the copium in these articles will go through the roof.
