These dopey articles will continue to be written right up until the acquisition is kill dead officially. Maybe people will then understand that Sony has nothing to do with this issue at all at least not directly. The type of deals people seem bothered about that Sony engages in, the same ones xbox has always done and continues to do to today are not the subject of regulatory approval. Whining about Sony will not save this deal for Microsoft.
There is no contradiction between the ftc and EU statements. Look it up.
There is no contradiction this bs has been repeated over and over again.
@domination no point in bringing up Sony/playstation, they have nothing to prove. It's xbox whose entire buzz around their console is the perceived value of a subscription service and mergers and acquisitions.
Nvm
"We'll always have E3".....lol
All this "we're buying Activision and we're not stoping there" nonsense has sucked all the oxygen out of the room for Microsoft. They've been wrapped up in this acquisition stuff that it's crowded everything else out. It's all anyone talks about in relation to xbox.
@redrum his comments speak for themselves. Spencer needs to talk less and produce more.
@darth, sorry your spinning and rationalization is unconvincing. Those stupid commitments Microsoft cooked up before meeting with the ftc could have been done in advance of announcing their deal with Activision. Just like Sony did with bungie. Shows how clueless Microsoft is and that their plans changed once they figured things weren't going their way. Too much pr, too much talking, Spencer's big mouth got him in and Microsoft in trouble.
Remember when Good guy Phil said Sony and Nintendo aren't Microsoft's competitors. Lol
Sure Brad.....
If the EU and CMA decide to block the acquisition, it may be all she wrote.
Hahahaha, that stunt Microsoft pulled yesterday with the "everyone agrees with this deal accept bad Sony" seems to have flopped hard. No regulator not even one as pathetic as the ftc, wants to feel like they're being publically humiliated/bullied.
@Orchard you clearly have no understanding of what deals can and cannot be made. There have been companies who have bought companies worth more than they are, get real. Sony absolutely could buy Take-Two there is nothing financially stopping them from doing so they can definitely raise the funds. I don't think Sony wants to buy and I don't think Take-Two would be interested in selling.
@Sonyslave3 talk big now, Sony absolutely could afford Take Two, if they wanted to be sold which I doubt.
@Bathyj the xbox community cares only for the hatred of all things Playstation. They will support anything if they think it hurts Playstation or makes them look bad. I'm of the mind most of them don't even play games.
@Lifexline this is a nothing offer, there is nothing stopping Activision from putting COD on Nintendo right now, lol. Steam? It was always going to go on Steam. This is a full court press pr campaign to sway the ftc. See if it works.
@Sparky77 you better hope Microsoft never drops gamepass, a rental service, like they've done with their other failing efforts.
Hahahaha
@Lifexline, get real all of insomniac most valuable ip belonged to and we're funded by Sony same for housemarqe. Guerrilla? Your not even trying to be honest. There are se games on Xbox right now some of which aren't on playstation. Microsoft is the one company who seems to have fans who have a genuine belief that the only reason they are failing is becuase of one of the other 2 platform holders. Phil Spencer seems to play this games as well.
