Where is the trolling from Sony? Please provide a link because I have not seen any.
Not hard to look strong when you're surrounded by weakness. Microsofts studio management has been terrible let's hope they don't drag down whoever else they acquire.
Who cares? Seriously, what is Microsoft doing here? Sony doesn't want this to go through they have made that very clear publicly why does Microsoft continue to whine about it? Is it Sony's job to help Microsoft get this deal approved even if they oppose it? Microsoft i read was instrumental in getting the ARM deal nixed by regulators becuase they felt it wasn't in their interest so they are not a stranger to this process. Less talk about Sony, more about why they think this deal n...
@Lighting good post. That 2 trillion is probably why they seem to never change this issue. Microsoft doesn't need their gaming portforlio to be successful the way the other 2 platform holders need theirs to.
@Lighting the issue is Microsoft is just not good at managing game studios and they need a change of leadership.
@digit,making arguments as to why Sony isn't as great as most think they are at delivering games will not make Microsofts output better. Nobody is complaining on Sony's side, nobody we're doing just fine. A reminder that Microsoft launched their console with no 1st party exclusives and then proceeded to go for a full year without a single exclusive after buying a million studios in 2017-2018.
@digit, Sony has several exclusives that are defacto 1st party coming before Spiderman 2. Plus they're launching psvr2 in 3 weeks with some 47 console exclusives.lol. All that and running a subscription service with free games. Stop making excuses for Microsoft.
Calling the release schedule for xbox good is a,testament how low the bar is set for xbox
@rlow1 truth hurts doesn't it. The comments section is meant for discussion if you don't like my post ignore them. Lol
My comment wasn't meant as an absolute, but the much talked about games like Redfall look incredibly bland, especially for a major 1st party release. The same way Halo infinite looked bland. Does xbox plan to ever show the power of their 12 tflops console.
@Lightning, pretty games get you interested, it's a visual medium.
Forza looks great (could have used more racing viewpoints) but car racing games just don't excite the way others games do visually.
@Orchard if Microsoft wants people to be excited about their console the games have to have that wow factor. There is zero buzz around xbox because the games at least visually don't excite. Think about Microsoft selling the series x as the most powerful console ever, then look at the games shown today. It doesn't match up.
@Orchard, format is not the issue for me eventhough we need less talk more gameplay for most of these games. I don't own a series console doubt I ever will, but Microsoft needs a game that visually/gameplay wise pops the way gears did when it was first shown.
You watch this presentation and it really shows that Microsofts heart is just not that into videogames as an artistic endeavor. They want product, even if they have to pay a premium for it, to cram in to their company wide service based model. Redfall, one of their heavy hitters this year, looks so benign and generic it kind of remarkable. Nothing has been presented/released that shows the power of the series x, and we're going into year 3.
Live action, not animation.
@Lifex, why do these positive "xbox"articles always have to bring up playstation? It's like an ongoing meta discussion about how "this is the year xbox really gets going". It's entirely irrelevant to bring up playstation, Sony had great games last year and will have great games this year no point in denying reality. Focus in on what you like about xbox without the comparison.
What a nutty headline.
@jwill, you can't do both. The tech is,completely different too much effort in making all games compatible would balloon costs. Individual studios are already porting their psv1 games over themselves and that will continue. But the focus should first be on advancing the tech in the console space at a reasonable price.
Her argument is "Sony is very successful so the ftc shouldn't worry that they won't remain number one ". These dopes are getting frustrated that the cash windfall they anticipated from this stock overpayment may be in jeopardy.
