@Obscure, bottom line: the cma after reviewing millions of documents and listening to the parties to this deal/3rd parties/the public has made a finding of fact that the deal to buy abk will reduce competition in the market and that either there be some sort of divestment or the deal should be blocked.
@sadraiden, I'm sorry did I use too many big words/phrases for you. Lol
@Joker, you comment is nonsensical and only states the obvious. Sony has talked openly about working towards synergy between their different portfolios to maximize profitability. Yes Playstation should update the last of us 1, if they anticipated new interest in the game from those who knew nothing about it until the tv show was released. It's smart business and it shows off the ps5 platform well. Game sell of part 1 have increased dramatically since the hbo show came out.
Microsoft pimping out COD like a $2 prostitute before they even own it hahahaha.
Focus on great AAA games for your customers and people will flock to the platform. Playstation/Nintendo understands this. Microsoft has made acquisitions and "affordable" gaming the main conversation around their platform, no wonder the xbox brand is failing
With each passing move by Microsoft it seems like they know the deal will been rejected by the CMA at least and all this pr is to ensure they look like the good guys instead of the clowns who screwed it up.
Generating hype for games that are 2 1/2 plus years out is a mistake especially when said game is ultimately delayed anyways. Think about how great it will be when we see Spiderman 2 in action for the 1st time knowing that the game will be out a few months later. Patience.
Less talking more playing now that the system was released. Gt7vr is the best game this generation for me.
@Lighting, I'm not going to do your research for you if you want to know look it up, lol. I do not care either way, never owned an Xbox and likely never will. It is Microsoft who has been stressing to regulators just how much the xbox brand is failing.
@pork, have you not been paying attention? Sony does not want this purchase to go through because they think it is bad for them and their customers. That has always been there position publically and they are not obligated to help Microsoft make it happen. Lol.
@Sonyslave, get informed, there are such things as perpetual leases which is common in commercial transactions.
@Madlad Sony's been winning and will continue to win, lol. Microsoft is making all sorts of concessions they had not envisioned they'd have to and the deal is still likely to fail. They've also in the course of trying to plead to the regulators that matter, have admitted that xbox is a failing brand, gamepass is losing money and actually results in lower game sales (their words), and that they are so far behind playstation that they are basically irrelevant. What do other game stu...
You can sense the desperation.
@Sparky, growing? Prove it.
This article unsurprisingly is highly misleading at best. Sony never states Microsoft would deliberately put bugs in ps version of cod. They only state that a potential bug issue along with others would be impossible for the CMA to monitor should behavioral remedies be accepted.
I was in a night time race in a stacked vett I bought and when you enter into the tunnels and the light floods the interior of the car as you enter, perfection. This game is amazing. I was looking into one of those yaw moving racing chairs, never thought I would.
Nothing ventured Nothing gained
@z2g, gt7 has renewed life because of vr. For me its not an either/or situation vr is decisively the way to play that game it's not even close. Reading that comment makes me doubt you even have psvr2. Vr has survived so long and will continue to grow because it offers immersive experiences that a flat screen can't get close to.
@bunt No it will not, ALyx has the same issue in that you can't see how great it is unless you put the headset on and try. But for anyone who actually has played on vr and enjoys it, these meta discussions are always so weird. I played gt7 vr for a solid 5 hours yesterday and it has been the best game I've played this generation because of vr.
Whether or not 10 years is enough time to develop a cod alternative is irrelevant and shows what little respect Microsoft has for the CMA or this entire process. CMA provisional findings have already stated that this type of imagined contract does not address their concerns of foreclosure. I'm of the opinion that unless the decision day is delayed the cma will block this deal.
Remember in a scenario where this deal is approved Microsoft can decide when to terminate that...
