Here come the Microsoft apologist articles.
@thesoftware, you guys have paid way too much attention to the arguments made in these legal documents. These lawyers are paid 1000$ plus per hour to make every single argument against this acquisition no matter how petty and silly you may find them leave no stone unturned.They are not made for public consumption but everything surrounding this acquisition has been unconventional.
@thesoftware, what are you even talking about? So when this abk deal is pushed through and Microsoft continues to fail with 1 million studios under their control, what will be your excuse then? Face it, the public has found xbox/Microsoft brand unappealing and has largely rejected them. It will be interesting to watch them try and force the public into buying into their crummy "ecosystem ". Lol
@sparky they'll do no such thing. There is thing called privity of contract, they will never stop two private corporations from entering into deals with each other it will not happen. This is all grandstanding to assist Microsoft in pushing their purchase through in the US.
@Lifexline, you sound ridiculous name one anticompetitive practice Sony is doing that Microsoft themselves aren't currently engaged in, just 1. Are xbox fans this desperate for a "win" that they would cheer on "the senator from North Dakota "?!Lol who has suddenly taken an interest in videogames and exclusivity deals. Lol. Newsflash, xbox sucks as a platform because they are owned by soulless bloated trillion dollar corporation who doesn't have a shread of creativi...
Microsoft/xbox has no incentive to improve their studio management and/or game quality output. They are backed by a trillion dollar company apparently willing to blow 10s of billions of dollars trying to "compete " with little to nothing to show for their investment. They just don't have the need to be profitable/successful to continue to survive like Nintendo/Sony playstation has.
It has always mattered, but Microsoft like they do with hiding console/game sales has been in propaganda blitz for several years to sell the idea that their games division is a roaring success. If you dont give out data you can control the narrative. Gamepass apparently cannibalize game sales according to Microsoft themselves so that isn't really a success either as they hide those numbers aswell. Lie and obfuscate is Microsoft m.o.
Absolutely bananas ,can't wait!
@JEECE lol, you're not far off, expect one of those garbage insiders to say how they heard Take 2 is going to be there as well as From software with big announcements.
@Chris, Sony is not limited to a certain amount of State of Plays per year, ff16 has just recently gone gold so it is the final push before launch in June. I'm sure there will be a State of Play exclusively for SM2 this fall closer launch as well as a 2nd trailer this summer.
One doesn't preclude the other.
How much?
@king, it was never Sony's job to make any case, I'm talking about the cma's own findings a few months ago. Anyone who knows a little about administration law knows that regulatory bodies are very careful when giving findings, the cma was not nuetral at all on their last report about this purchase they said definitively it would reduce competition. A complete reversal on their own findings call into question the validity of all their reasoning on this issue. I don't like co...
@JayRyu, fair enough. Lol
@Ryuk, Jim,Ryan is,right, the CMA did a complete 180 from their own stated position (supported by their own extensive research) just 2 months ago. Was their logic/research completely wrong just 2 months ago? Lol. I doubt it. Any reasonable observer would find such behavior on the part of the cma "irrational " .
@343, don't be ignorant get informed. Capcom was in bad shape back then and would not have made street fighter 5 but for Sony funding the game and publishing it. Capcom since then has recovered financially and therefore sf6 has returned to being multiplatform. Doesn't matter xbox players don't buy games anyways.
Yet somehow Sony now ownes crunchyroll.
@tb, Tencent ain't pulling any of the 3rd party ip off of either platform becuase they are a 3rd party publisher themselves.
@thesoftware, it's ok for Microsoft to be criticized for not delivering the goods. You don't have to feel the need to defend everyone of their missteps.
