@giovonni, call me nieve I don't believe it's an internal goal of Nintendo and or Sony to eliminate Microsoft from gaming. Nither are they in the position to given the huge wealth disparity between them and Microsoft. This statement is revealing given the acquisition Microsoft is trying to ram through and is evidence that Microsoft hasn't changed since forever.
Nobody should be surprised by this. I've said it many times before there is no reason for a company as big and bloated as Microsoft to be in the gaming industry at all but for the chance to control it and cram it into their company wide service model. Microsoft has zero interest in gaming as an artistic endeavor, the only goal is to buy their way to prominence driving every other competitor out of business.
@Notellin, well they should wait for the much prophesied "shift towards Microsoft" to occur or at least begin to happen before writing these articles, lol. These Microsoft feel good stories are not based on any current empirical evidence making them lack credibility. The shift in the 360 and ps4 gen could be measured in tangible metrics that are not present today. In fact all the metrics tell the opposite story.
These "Microsoft is secretly winning and or head for victory over Playstation" stories will continue to be published despite what the facts on the ground say.
If you listen to Patcher, no matter how Sony is succeeding they're doing something wrong and are headed for failure. This is has been his consistent message for 15-20 years. It's absurd and I don't know how a old man like this who acts so childish like he has an axe to grind gets paid.

It's not about loyalty to most people I believe, it's about a limited amount of time to play games in a given week. Why have multiple consoles if you can barely play on just 1, and have all this clutter around your place. I understand this isn't everyone's situation. There's also the issue of having only so much money to set aside for gaming.
