But they just told you why, didn't you read the article? Lol
@Vits, what are you not understanding? It's not pr spin, Sony rep says that it is Sony blocking further use until they are ready to provide a seamless streaming experience from the cloud. You seem to have some weird rage towards this device. Lol
@darth, it's good? I have mine just haven't set it up yet, can't wait.
@MrNinosan, hahahahahaha
Yep people use these handhelds at home primarily. I for one will never use a portable gaming device outside in public.
The instance that Sony make a product diffent than the one they intended to is absurd. Very few people use their remote play devices outside of the home ever. I read one of the Japanese engineers for portal and it definitely sounds like the plan is to gradually add functionality to it and that it will not be that hard. But they are being cautious understandably.
@mrcat, it's not a "glorified remote play device" It is a remote play device. Lol. It has never been sold as anything else.
2029? That's 6 years from now who knows what types of games will be all the rage by then.
@Solstnt, nope. There was a time this game could hold everyone's attention because of the initial presentation but they have hid actual combat of the main character since with a steady decline in graphics.
@optimus, nope GOW has a mix with actual identifiable gameplay footage. I watched every presentation of HB 2 because the first was so visually impressive but ever since that we've seen zero combat from the main character.
Maybe they'll so some actual gameplay before this game launches.
Of all things to be worried about in life, this isn't one of them.
Can't wait, it's going to awesome to use around the house
"But what if you only have 50 bucks and a pack of gum, shouldn't there be console for sale that you can afford"....
@,Adonis, you mean play games locally? Nah that device would be much more expensive and is antithetical to promoting the purchasing of a ps5, why would Sony do that? The portal addresses a specific need, that being a handheld device to play your ps5 games on, nothing more nothing less. They probably will add cloud functionality down the line when the ps5 reaches a saturation point.
@darth, yep I pre-ordered one 2 can't wait that screen is huge. Hope it's comfortable to hold. There are many times I have no desire to go downstairs to play on the big screen. This will allow me to play and finish alot of my backlog.
Keep adding great games to your library over time. No playstation gamer will buy everything on launch, but when they're looking for something new to play the games of quality will be there. This is the way.....
Lol
@Z2g, oh god shut up man, it's not that important. You're triggered because someone says gt7 is the best and only getting better. Here I'll say it again gt7 especially gt7vr is superior to anything else. Get over it.

@Fox get real, games take at least 5 years to make, ND next project shouldn't be expected until 2025 at the earliest. There is nothing wrong with them providing gamers with something to play in the meantime. Whatever their new game will be will set the industry standard in terms of graphics and technical presentation, so let them have all the time they need. ND always brings out the irrational hate brigade.
