Some of you need to realize that the entire world isn't as paranoid as you guts are. If out of a thousand gamers 49% want a Xbox One then so be it. I love all this Sony support. Too bad it wasn't there at the beginning of the PS3 life cycle. We might still have PS3s that are fully backwards compatible.
I'll pick up an Xbox One solely on what games are available for it. If those gamesbsuck then I'll pick up a PS4 when an Xbox style controller becomes available. The 360 was as close to perfection as any controller could be. That is why you see so many X360 controller clones on the PS3 and no PS3 controller clones on the 360.Gimmicks never help a controller go ask Sega about their VMU and what that did for them.
Please. Next thing you will say is that Sixaxis was an amazing innovation. Like the old saying goes, If it ain't broke don't fix it. Sony knew that the DS3 is no longer the greatest controller out there so they added a ton of bells and whistles to it.
I am waiting to see the added Dual Shock features will tank like Sixaxis did.
I'll take this new controller as is. Its still comfortable to hold and has an improved design. The only cool thing that could of been added would be a screen on the controller like the DC.

Exactly. Console gaming is so convenient. Stick in the disc and go. And if the game is patched then atleast I don`t need to worry if my console is compatible or not. Also, I know that the guys that I am playing against have the same hardware that I do. So I don`t need to worry about someone having a better mouse than me or something.
Until I can play console games like Halo and uncharted on a PC I will stay on a console. Also I don`t have the money and time to spend on a gaming rig. Lastly I am an adult, I`m too old to be hunched over a desk using kb and mouse. I love to slouch on my couch in front of my home theater.
Your and idiot. Corporations already have control over what your play. If Sony came to your door right now and demanded you hand over your copy of God of War and in return they would give you a download voucher for God of War, by law you can't say no.
Why, CAUSE YOU DON'T OWN YOUR GAME DISC. The publisher does. When you buy your game all you have bought is the right to play it as is on a certain piece of hardware. But the disc itself is not yours.
people seem to forget why we have caps in the first place. Pirates. Caps are an ISP's way of dealing with the likes of RIAA and savy consumers who would ISP's for breach of trust. Caps only came into being after ISP's were pressured by RIAA and other to give the names of subscribers that had high download numbers and frequented certain sites.
You get rid of the pirates or atleast limit them and caps would go away. Its that simple.

Olive is right when the say consoles are the bane of gamers. The gaming industry is the only entertainment business where you need specific hardware to run the media you want. Thats just retarded.

The PS3 is my first PlayStation for 1 simple reason. I hate the Dual Shock. The PS3 is the first play station with alternative controllers that I actually liked. IMO there is no point in buying a console if you don't like the interface.

At the end of the day, MS' game division makes hell of allot more money than Sony's. And just because Sony bought up more game devs than MS has means nothing if the can't produce repeated hit games. Hows that for being a fanboy.
