Let's not argue semantics here LOL My comment, if anybody actually saw it, will have been understood exactly the way it was meant to be understood, as my opinion on an article and my (I suppose you could say) "recommendation" that the article isn't worth the time it takes to read it. Since I didn't explicitly say NOT to read the article nobody would have taken my comment as implying such.

Forums and comments sections are an informal medium and as such mo...

I said nobody "should" give their valuable time to read this "article" or any others in its series ... as you can clearly read again. I did not tell people to NOT read it, because people can and will do what they want. My comment simply gives an idea of what to expect and my OPINION on it's worth.

A guy who outright HATES playing MMOs giving his impression on playing an MMO. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that no matter what he is going to hate it and bitch, moan, complain and outright bash it at every opportunity.

Nobody should give this, or further articles, your valuable time, there's only going to be one outcome. He's going to hate it with a vengeance and he's going to be very vocal about it.

Simple solution, games companies form a gaming alliance which opens up it's own world wide chain of gaming stores. They sell both new and used games (just like gamestop) and they make all the money. As they say, if you can't beat them, join them ;)

Yeah the quality of the figureprints is a little on the bad side. Don't be fooled by any pictures you see claiming otherwise, they are "ok" viewed from a distance, but you don't buy them for that do you.

I actually (stupidly) bought a WoW figureprint, back in the early days of figureprints when they had a random draw (of all registered accounts) to decide who'd be allowed to place an order each month! The thing cost around $150 including shipping!! The m...

Yeah it's old news, but to some who missed it before it's relevant. Can't believe this is still going considering they gave Portal (the complete game) away for free during the promo period when Steam finally made its way to the Mac.

"I don't know how to use a keyboard for movement"

LOL, now THAT is funny.

Anyway, on to the article. This guy is a typical tard (to put it nicely). You really don't need to know much (or anything really) to get into PC gaming. You DO NOT have to custom build your own rig, just go with your money and buy a pre-builtPC that fits within it, that'll be fine, period. There you go, problem solved. But, if you want to go the custom route, find ...

The title of the article is a little misleading (and with good reason, hits = $$ people).

In the interview the guy does contradict himself though, on the one hand he DOES say the PC and console versions will look the same (which would mean the PC version is a neutered version not worth buying). But on the other he says the PC version will have higher resolution textures and the obvious option to adjust screen resolution, which means the PC version will NOT look the same as th...

I too prefer to shop online verses retail for the same reasons in the article and what you guys have already said. I really hate walking into a store and have some fresh-out-of-high school kid try to give me advice on what I should buy when it comes to tech related products. I haven't been working in the tech industry for 10 years, and hold a couple of degrees, to have some kid who barely has a high school diploma try to think he/she knows better.

Taking that away, if you...

You can get a RROD or YLOD.
You can customize you console (case replacement) and void any warranty you had.
You can try to modify your console and then get locked up for doing so.

Wasn't April 1st LAST week!?

In all seriousness though, IF consoles were to become upgradeable, as most have said, we all get screwed with over priced upgrades. I can buy a 2TB HD for the PC for less than M$ are charging for their HD which is a fraction (about an 8th) of the size! But that's not the biggest issue, IF consoles were to be upgradeable ... you can upgrade the RAM, the HD, the GPU, maybe even the CPU ... ummm, does this sound familiar to anyone? Yeah, that...

I echo the sentiments of everyone else. The game has been out for how long now!? You're supposed to release the demo BEFORE the game, it's the natural order of things. Something Square-Enix also forgot about when they released FFXIV in what amounted to Beta quality and look what happened there.

This is just another example of the many ways the gaming companies are screwing over the people who helped build them.

Do people still need tips on how to level up fast in WoW!? haven't Blizz made it easy enough already? LOL To level up fast, just play the game, quite simple really. Oh and this made me chuckle:-

"Turn in all complete quests at one time once you're fully rested"

His reasoning is totally flawed, it makes no difference, rested or not, when you hand in the quests. You don't get an XP bonus for handing them in rested and handing them in reste...

Wow, just wow. It would appear PC Gaming is not the only thing being stifled by consoles!

That quote is a little ... over zealous, but Bulletstorm IS a refreshing FPS game that's just all out fun and doesn't try to hide the fact, by throwing in unnecessary stuff, that it's a mindless shooter. I really enjoyed the single player campaign, but as is the tradition these days, it was way too short. The multiplayer, well that sucks LOL

"Anyone tells me who can use $700 PC from 10/2005 (not 2011) to play BFBC2? "

Hmm, me? Well up until a few months ago that was me, my old system was built 6 years ago and I have played most of the top releases on it (at mid settings or higher). Now that I have my new system I don't need to, but I still have that old system and could quite easily do so.

I wonder why they didn't include the number of sales on the PC to the figure they are showing. What am I talking about, they didn't include PC sales because they don't bother to find the tracking sources. I wouldn't be surprised, if you included PC sales, that the game sold fairly well for what it is.

I have the PC version, I loved the mindless fun of the campaign and the whole direction of the game. But, as is the trend this generation, the single player camp...

Sadly I feel the same way. I was about to order my copy of Dragon Age 2 today, but after reading this I'm not going to. Any company that treats its customers with this much contempt doesn't deserve my hard earned cash. Sure I might miss out on a few good games, but there are lots of games out there ... and with the limited time I have to play games these days I won't loose any sleep over it :)
