Now that we're having machines design machines the pace will pick up. 2029 might be a little early but it won't be that much longer. Probably just a few years after that.
If you look at AMD's CPU history we've learned a chip is only as fast as its slowest part. Microsoft focused on bandwidth this generation because of Xbox One and the 900p problem. Sony made a super fast drive but the overclocking was probably added later so we don't know if it will work with the bandwidth. Some of the experts are already saying it will max out at 1800p compared to full 4k on the xbox with all the bells and whistles.
The fact that it's proprietary can also be an advantage. Memory isn't as expensive to manufacture as they charge. If Microsoft chooses to not make a huge profit on the drive it can be much cheaper than normal.

The difference between ssd's is big but not as big as the difference in RAM. The SX has a 112gbs advantage on ten gbs.

I'm not sure the transfer rate will matter. Sony hasn't said anything one way or another but Microsoft has said they have machine learning built in with the ability to make low resolution textures look like high resolution textures. If this works as advertised developers can substitute low resolution textures where possible to make the speed of the playstation hard drive pretty much unnoticeable. I think you're not thinking about the heat maximizing that boost will cause. Cerny also mentioned ray tracing not causing much of a hit while we know it doesn't take a hit on XSX at all. The Playstation chip will not run at max all the time and will do it less as the generation moves on and games become more complicated. Except a Pro in two or three years.
I think people are not fully understanding what they're talking about. When Microsoft said audio ray tracing I believe they're saying sound that you hear exactly when and where you should hear it. Just like ray tracing with light placing reflections or shadows where they should occur based on that light source this will place the sound as it moves through a scene based on the object making the noise. The problem with your logic is you're assuming I want things to be any particular way. I just go by the information I read from a few sources that use leaked certifications and rumors that they seem reasonable based on math and design knowledge. I don't just listen to any random sources but only sources that understand the business and architecture and that use and explain certification information.

It's supposedly the same range as the One X. The design was done as a mini tower as part of the cooling system to limit the need for noisy cooling.
I think anyone not expecting big improvements is fooling themselves. Visuals are reaching a limit but physics and AI have a chance to make games so much better. As long as developers use the hardware we should see some really nice improvements.
