I have Xbox game pass for the next two years using the Xbox live upgrade cheat. I have no reason to upgrade to the series X, all the exclusive games will be coming to me for free. The next halo will have to have something amazingly different for me to upgrade. I'm not upgrading for fancy looking grass!

Here's the problem. You will be limited by last generation design concepts for every Xbox exclusive (it has to work on every 2013 Xbox one), whereas Sony can go nuts taking every advantage the PS5 has to offer.

Imagine if each cartridge had the main processors for each previous Playstations, giving 100% backwards compatiblity. You would be able to choose what one you wanted, keeping the costs down.

Shipped and sold are two different things.
The whole game is built using the Sony owned decima engine. They would have to re-make the game using Unreal engine (or something else) if they want to release on PC.
The double click of the L&R buttons is impossible to replicate on another controller.
