Sony should not cut the price by $100. The should either cut by $50 or by $150. Here is the reason that I say this....
Microsoft is going to respond in kind to a PS3 price cut. The 360 is already priced at $299 with a hard drive. If Sony cuts the PS3 by $100 to $299 it will outsell the Xbox 360 as long as their prices are equal. Microsoft knows this and they will therefore respond dollar for dollar to a $50 or $100 price cut.

What happened is consistent with what Metal Gear Solid has always done. Metal Gear Solid has always gone multiplatform. But the other multi-plat releases were always nerfed is some way. You have to be for both games with console based DLC. The original game costs $60 and then they find a way to sell us $20 to $30 of download content. Sometimes they do it with one big block sometimes they nickel and dime us is 5 or 6 $5 blocks, either way it costs us the same.

That isn't possible. One thing is clear this generation; The Xbox 360 and the PS3 hold each other's games back. Multiplat games look a little worse than the 360's best games. Multiplat games look a lot worse than the PS3's best games. MGS:Rising will run into the same problems that other developers run into with making multi-plat games. In order to make the game look and play the same they have to make it for the least common denominator, and that lowest common denominator is significant...
