You can tell lots of people here are children because they don't know how to look out from themselves. They are actively defending people who are promising them less for the same money.
In life you have to look out for yourself. These corporations don't need you to look out for them and make excuses for them. You negotiate the best deal for yourself and your family that you possibly can. I promise you the guy on the other side is doing the same. The moment you ...
This didn't happen because of Gamestop. The nature of the marketplace is that a used game has value. Since people own the games they sell them back in order to get new games.
I can't see this working because I can't see any way for the developer to tell between the original user and the used game buyer.
-If I need only enter the correct code to play online then I can simply sell the code with the disc and this entire thing is a waste of time...
I never heard of the franchise. How good is it?
You ask what happened....
....Probably the same thing that kept them from making money off 1.5 million copies sold for Heavenly Sword.
BTW, I'm still waiting for them to tell us how they didn't make money from that many units sold.
I guess they expect this game to sell 5 million copies so they can make a profit.
The camera in Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma was actually great. Yes, I said Great. Here is why.
With hack and slash games at high levels the combat often breaks down. Take Star Wars:Force Unleashed for example. At low levels everything is fine. You can move around, see all of your enemies, and destroy them with slow camera. At high difficulty levels you keep getting hit by enemies behind you and often out of range. The camera moves too slow for you see these enemies and dod...
I disagree...
Hideo Kojima is a genius who never misses. It would be a waste to have him spend that genius on a remake. Every time he works, I want him working on something new, because that game will be a guaranteed AAA title.
P.S.
Even though I disagree with your comment I didn't hit the disagree button because I understand the spirit of your post. That was someone else who gave you the one "disagree."
I am hoping that the help more with the matchmaking/party system. Killzone 2 was a nightmare when trying to play with your friends. That difficulty was made worse by the fact that you need familiar co-players in order to win. In my opinion that was the only thing wrong with the game.
I hope they listen to the fans and give us a true party system.
@BlackCountryBob - We are being ripped of by this change.
Ownership of a good or service is the right to use that good or service.
Ownership of a physical copy of the game is the right to play the game.
EA is trying to say that we don't have the right to play a game even though we bought the game from the owner fair and square. Once you buy a game its yours; you can do what you want with it. You can play it, play frisbee with it, us...
Techmo/Team Ninja beat themselves out of 100,000...maybe 200,000 extra copies sold. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 released 2 weeks before Uncharted 2 (Sep. 29, 2009 vs. Oct. 13, 2009). That is MUCH too close to Uncharted 2. What's worse is that there were no major titles released in the entire month of August or September until NGS2 released. Its like they didn't want to sell it.
You can't ignore the fact effect of exclusive marketing for the 360 version. The exact effect it would have had is unknowable however, we know that marketing is signficant.
You also can't ignore the effect of releasing the game withing one week of God of War III's release, something that would not have happened had the game been a PS3 exclusive.
What is also real but unknowable is the effect that the multi-plat announcement (and the way it was ...
@NIX
If it goes multi-platform then it is going to gimp the PS3 version. Just the same way that being multi-platform gimped the FFXIII.
@EVERYONE IN GENERAL
The thing is I don't think being multi-platform is going to increase the overall sales. FF13 sold about 850,000 units on 360. I am convinced that it would have sold at least 1 million more units on PS3 if it were exclusive.
Pure fan-ism would have been worth an extr...
A fact has nothing to do with being widely accepted. A fact is something that is true, whether the masses know that it is true or not makes no difference.
The problem I have with the system-wars is that the fans seem to think that they can turn a fact into an opinion by disagreeing with it; they can't. A fact is a fact even if no one believes it.
There 3 things....
1. Facts
2. A false statement of fact. This is something t...
The reason Sony didn't change the controller for the PS3 is the that gamers demanded that the controller remain the same.
If anything Sony should move the design back towards the Dualshock 2. Microsoft changed their original Xbox controller to be more like the Dualshock 2. That is evidence that the design of the Dualshock is just fine. If anything, I wish the Dualshock 3 had Dualshock 2 styled R2 & L2 buttons instead of the trigger-buttons it has now.

Is it me or do most of the female heroes and villains in the Marvel Universe belong to the X-Men sub-universe?
I must admit Hera's life must have been quite awful. First, her dad eats her and then her husband won't stop cheating on her. Her husband will cheat on her no matter what the cost. If he must change himself into a cockroach so that she won't notice him sneaking out, then so be it.
Kratos may have done her a favor by ending her effed-up life. However, Kratos would have made a better statement for himself had he banged the hell out Hera. It would have been the ...
The biggest mistake Techmo made with this game was to stop if from being PS3 exclusive. The moment they did that this game became irrelevant and everyone stopped talking about it.
Fan loyalty is an exploitable reality. Game developers ignore it at there peril.
People keep saying that the game won't be good without Itagaki. Ninja Gaiden 2 was made by Itagaki; it just wasn't as good as the original Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma.
Saying that the series is going to fail because Itagaki isn't there is jumping gun, because the last game had fallen off with Itagaki there.
First I have a question. Are they going to maintain the "original release for Xbox - then Sigma release for PS" pattern? If they ...
Kotor 1 was the best W-RPG I have ever played or seen played.
Oblivion however, is the best W-RPG this gen. Fallout 3 was so gloomy and wretched that I could play it. It seemed like an awful time to be alive and made for a bad fantasy.
However, I never tried Dragon Age and am still playing through Demon's Souls.
Maybe if SE got the same deal on ffv113 that they got for ff13, then perhaps it would be smart for SE. Even though they would not sell any extra units of the game they would get a fat check in exchange for giving Microsoft the EXCLUSIVE PRIVILEGE of trying. So, they would not have to more copies of the game in order to make profit; the profit would come from Microsoft.
Don't forget that Versus is the spin-off; it won't do as well as ff13, which is the flagship, even ...
