If it can be transferred over the internet, then it can be done offline via USB hard drives and memory sticks. Microsoft is just blocking it.
It's not like this is full backwards compatibility.
This could easily be done with a software patch if Microsoft wanted to. It's not hard to allow the people to backup their own game saves to a USB device. It's not hard to allow a newer, more powerful machine to read the save game data, or any other kind...
They need to. If only by a week. They really need to launch November 1st in the US. If they lose the US to Sony by 2-1 then the overall numbers will end up looking like the PS1 or PS2 generation.
Indeed, you never know when they will run out of digital copies.
Got to jump in on this one. The camera was terrible. I kept yelling at the screen,..."SHOW ME THE F#####G GAME". But the camera kept showing me the audience.
I'm excited over the X1 to start with. Although I must admit that I am a little concerned by this statement (2nd pargraph in response to the 15th question)
"What we heard from gamers is that they enjoyed the physical DRM they had with the 360 ecosystem and they wanted to add that to Xbox One. So we added physical DRM to the digital DRM plan that we had."
There was no "physical DRM". It was ownership; pure and simple. The fact that he...
A software patch can fix a lot of things. The designer of the operating system could completely lock-out whole pieces of the hardware if he wanted. I mean things like turn off USB ports; stop the system from reading the disc-drive, etc.
If anybody knows the online room sizes, please give me a link.
What about matchmaking?
How many players per game online?

Does anybody honestly believe that the Japanese company made all of their announcements already and do not have anything left for the Japanese game convention?
The problem is that I can get a PS3 for the same money. That effectively limits it's universe of potential buyers to people who already have a PS3.
Hopefully, we will see a PS4/Vita bundle announced at TGS.
I don't think that every college kid who just wants another bro-shooter and madden and NBA2K will buy and XB1. I think they will buy a PS4 because it $100 cheaper. The PS4 happens to be better at the same time, but that's not why they will buy it. They will buy it because people are broke when they are in college and $400 + tax in hard enough to come up with let alone $500 + tax.

In addition to the required amount of bandwidth not existing, the bandwidth that we do have is not stable enough to internal computer processes.
In order to be reliable for game computing, connection speeds would have to be perfectly stable, and perfectly equal, no matter where you are on the grid. Now we are not like that. Our connections vary in speed according to where you are and other factors, that I can't explain. H...
I expect that we will get some info on FFXV at Tokyo Game Show. I would not be surprised if the PS4 was getting some sort of special treatment from FFXV in Japan, like maybe a staggered release date; and almost certainly a bundle with the Japanese PS4/FFXV versions.
I also expect some new titles to be announced. I also expect some news about the PS4/Vita bundle that was rumored a while back.
No, what makes them uncomfortable is when we point out that she is freakin' ugly, or fat as a house. That makes women uncomfortable. Complimenting pretty women on their looks is so commonplace that they hear it, dismiss it, and immediately move on. Some who looks like Jade will hear it almost everytime she meets a man for the first time.
Maybe it's Fantasy European Football to go with their Fantasy American Football.
I half agree with Bigpappy and N4rc.
I agree that Microsoft has to justify Kinect, therefore they have to show Kinect enhancing AAA games. I hedge my agreement because it is based on the assumption that they can show Kinect actually enhancing AAA games. The odds are that they can not.
Cameras and motion control have been tried before, and frankly by people who are better at making games than Microsoft. All the motion control games in the past have been sof...
Still haven't figured it out yet, huh, Platinum.
Let me help you. GET YOUR CHECK FROM MICROSOFT FIRST. Don't put a hack n' slash game on the Xbox, any Xbox. It's a waste of an IP. That's not their type of game. You already doomed one masterpiece to failure before it even launched; don't doom another.
While I'm at it...
Still haven't figured it out, huh, Microsoft?
Why would you wasted ...
The only appeal of this SKU is that it is under $200. If Best Buy puts it in a bundle that raises the price to $250 they are undermining the whole point of the SKU.
They probably put certain pieces of data on the disk 2 or 3 times to improve seek times. But still the game is going to be bigger than 12 GB.
That's the attitude that comes right before companies, and people, start losing money.
No one can afford to keep screwing things up and buying their way out.
