Playing this game on the 360 at the moment. 8/10 from me. I bought the 360 version [for achievements] because I only buy all the PS3 exclusives for that console + Blu-ray of course.
A good game no matter what system. I will pass on the pointless comparison.
Edit: @ below. true. The PS3 does have slight less distinct textures.BUt after playing that demo it is by no means a deal breaker
I do't use my PC for game anymore (well except STALKER) I use it for transcoding via my 4870OC GPU. Looking transcoding benchmarks, there is no advantage having a 5870 over a 5750. I may get the latter for the future DX11 direct compute/Open Cl potential. A slight stepdown in gaming performance, but a benefit for transcoding and price :-)
I would agree with the writer here.
I bought TOD and Q4B (unfinished). I have played my Neices Mario Galaxy before moving to the US, and it is impressive looking for a Wii game. The gameplay is very rich indeed.
Yeh,
I never played the SNES version
I remember playing this in the arcades/sweet shop (in the UK) many moons ago. I could not get past those trolls on the 2nd level. SHows how good I was. DId not have the money back then to keep trying.
LOL! Pirates complaining, lol. Dumb if they are playing it online.
Poor pirates. /S
I will pick this up as soon as I get through UC2, Boarderlands, Brutal Legend and FM3.
It is nice to see a game that is hard by virtue of the of the players yet developed skill rather than cheating (WAW on veteran etc cheat spawning anyone).
However, you have to remember, not everyone has the time to put hours in a game. Just look at stats (can't find it at the mo') where hard/long games are rarely finished because of that fact, or the next best thing has come along...
If you have a bacterial problem or dirty water in a desert, silver
The answer = Both, if you can afford it.
If you can't, then it will be based on the style of game you like.
Me? I am will be picking up UC2 and BL later today. I get BL for the 360 because as I tend to get all MP on 360 for achievements.
I am off next week, so I will spend that time playing these two games, borderlands too, installing W7 and tasting FM3 before going back to work
Yes, but did he not lambasted ODST last month?

Not quite a 360 fanboy through and through as you suggest.
Watch out for the fireworks.
On another note away from reviews, I bought edge since issue zero because it has always been more technical than other gaming mags - so my main reason for purchasing it was for the articles and not the reviews.
This guy comes on Gametrailers etc spouting off like a know-it-all and gets nothing right. Wii HD is the PS3, his last cop out was.
It is almost like the industry does the exact opposite he says to make him look stupid. BTW Pachter, can I have your job? LOL. Qualifications required: Look smug and get everything wrong.
WTF! "I hope that the full game will have a lot more to offer than the demo that I just played today." No S**** Sherlock
" i know this is just a demo and it is around 530 MB but i was expecting more out of it." What, the whole game? LOL
This game was off the radar until recently.
Anyway, I normally pass on DLC. As I primarily play FPS, they tend to be MP maps, which I don't play. The last DLC I bought was L4D: Crash Course. It was very short 20 min, albeit fun - not worth 540MSP.
Not quite PC VS PS3/360. However the Wii version (following the 1st screen shot) look quite hideous. It actuall looks sub PS2/XB1.
If it is a pre-beta, I hope those textures are place-holders only. But realistically, at pre-beta you don't start re-modelling, so the low-poly is there to stay,
Signed up my UK and US Xboxs with their corresponding accounts
Edit: at the disagree. What did I not sign up my xboxs then?
The laser diodes used are fixed focal length (separate from wave length) diode, thus th diode has fixed focal positions. Therefore it is a physics restriction that cannot be overcome by FW upgrade.

Those of you that are saying [Andronix etc] the reviewer changed the score to reflect an editor over rule. Don't forget the next mag has already gone to print. that shut your conspiracy theory down.
What has Kotaku got to do with the price of fish?
+ The most robust campaign to date. Best customization; 2nd to none community features; damage model that effects driving like no other console driving game; cars you want to racing rather than just drive.
I suggest you see insidesimdracing.tv as these guys know just a bit more about driving/racing games than you and any other review site. h
Edit: Get over it. Noting you say will change facts. Get a life.
The lighting at end of the trailer does look a cut above the console versions
