How many windows users are there in the world? 300M+ (individuals and business users). How many of them would be classed as gamers? So if gaming on the PC (I assume non MMO or Popcap style gaming) stopped tomorrow, How will Windows die?
Besides, look how much money is being made on MMO and those Popcap type games. Maybe there is less hardcore type games. Gamestop is not helping, hence steam is a godsend, so who needs them.
Nvidia, and AMD/ATI are moving beyond cateri...
Very useful if you want to listen to the rest of the music.
DVD is the only option (apart from GoD), so there you go. Either 2 discs or no ME2. I will take 2 disks. IT does not matter if bu-ray is better, the fact of the matter is there is no blu-ray for the 360.
I am still to see the benefit of SL. I have a Radeon HD 4850 in my iMac, so I suppose I have Open CL stuff to look forward to. My wife's has a Nvidia 7600GT, so she is stuffed, Lol.
@dchalfont above. Don't get me wrong apart from my vaio that does not like vista or W7, vista served me very well indeed. I do a lot of video encoding and that really was the only problem I could not live with [Edit: the technet preview worked flawlessly]. Maybe it was the move to 64bit that solved the problem, who knows. However after beta testing W7, I found it hard to go back.
I am just one of those early adopting guinea pigs, I guess.
Because it is so close to vista, it does no have the same early morning tech issues. But yes, if you are happy with what you got, don't bother.
I have yet to see the day to day benefit of Snow Leopard on my iMac
HTPC vista x86 --> W7 Ult x64 no longer crashes when GPU transoding. Crysis no longer freezes
imac Vista x86 --> W7 x86 Apart from the hoodwink to get the graphics drivers working, painfree
Netbook clunky xp ----> W7 x86 fl...
Well don't worry about it and use Ubuntu.
Just put in on for a laugh. Good grief!
Glitches like this is wh have have not even played MP yet. It put me off COD4 and 5 MP
Yawn. I will have another look when some non-HPC stats come out as I will not being doing weather sims at home. And until they set a re;ease date, I will stick with a Radeon 5850 as soon a they come available again in Dec.
Lol. The Tim Henman replacement who can actually win something. But you are right. HE carries the whole nations hope on his shoulders on the ever rainy 2 weeks, on to drop it.
Mmm. I do not have a D2D account. However, Steam has been flawless since I preloaded HL2 all those years ago. IF this is the DRM case for D2D, I think I will pass. For example, I have Torchlight;at least I know I have no problems taking it with me on my laptop etc.
Edit. Just looked on stem again. Dark Athena is limited to 3 machine installs too. Oh well.
They just keep coming.
I bought L4d on steam four $8 (looks so much better that 360 version)
and Dark Athena this morning for $10
I never finished mass effect on the 360.Might just have to pick it up for the PC
I bought L4D (though I had it on the 360) for $7.95 yesterday. Bargin. I did patch it to use the 360 controller. Lol, I think I have spend to longer away from the keyboard an mouse.
Agreed
This was obvious. The flexibly of GPU etc. NOw that OeenCL is standardized, being adopted by everybody, CUDA can go off and die somewhere.
Although I never finished this game on the GC, it was better than Quantum of Solice
Though I only play the bonnet/hood view, the no gear change was a big oversight. I wonder what in-game glitches were fixed.
It's a great game. Although I did stop to fit in UC2 playover and MW2.
And I will continue to play it in between L4D2 and AC2
Me too!
How long did it take for W7 to surpass OSX user base? A week and a bit maybe?
