Looks almost on par with each other. The hair from the CG and the clouds look quite a bit better than in game. Also i liked the gun design better in the CG, really it's the rail on the barrel of the gun that makes it.
Is it me or does EGM seem to have some of the best covers?
I'll give you Orange Box but BioShock and CoD4 is basically the same on both consoles. Socom is a third person shooter as well so it's not exactly in the "FPS" discussion. Though you could easily bring up other shooters like RSV/2, Battlefield etc looking better on 360.
The balance in the game is amazing that is definitely true. The Air combat is great that's true as well. Warhawk got me into gaming online but i still have to give the nod of best online shooter/online game to Team Fortress 2. It's like nothing else i've ever played, has great balance, amazing charm and a heavy reliance on teamwork. It's no dig on Warhawk which in itself is a really good game. I just think TF2 has been the best i played so far this gen.
I loved Warhawk when it first came out. Incredibly fun game, but not the best shooter this generation in my opinion.
Honestly i don't really care if Ps3 is the "king of fps's" since it's actually one of the genre's i have the least interest in. That being said i do like the continued expanded variety in the Ps3's library. Needs some more Action adventure games though. I think Bayonetta and Heavy Rain will fill my craving nicely until GoW3 comes out.
It's always hilarious that stuff like this happens just after the doom and gloom articles are released.
I'm glad SF4 is hitting in Feb. I just hope the NA release ships with options for the japanese voice actors. I honestly can't imagine playing a SF game without having the engrish.
I told a few people that MGS4 would sell 4 and half to 5 million copies by the end of this year. Guess my prediction isn't that far off.
Now get on those trophies Konami. I'm already dreading having to get Big Boss rank since i only got FoxHound as my highest badge.
It was just a little joke. I don't think it was as bad a joke as you might think it is (no i wasn't referring to menopause).
Ah so you added me on PSN.
Not interested any more. Now if they announce SF3 with online (please) i'd buy that in a heartbeat. But until then i'll just look forward to SF4.
You need to get those hot flashes under control.
As for me i'm sitting this beta out. I'd rather wait until the full game is out and i experience that "new game" feel.
Hahaha i actually don't like RPG's in general but my girlfriend loves em (yeah she's a girl gamer). I know RPG fans are more like the oldschool gamers from back when i was younger. If it's a game they like or have their eye on they're going to buy it reguardless.
Sounds like he wasn't a big fan of Portal either since you know. There's not much "gunplay".
I know it was a game that didn't do good overall (sales wise)but just in recent memory to me besides last year. Games that tend to come out in the last month tend not to be that much of sale boomers. Though you do bring up a good point in the some of the more niche games tend to do better reguardless.
That is quite interesting. I hadn't thought of that but it is quite true that games released in December tend to be overlooked. UT3 last year just as a example.
Put it like this. Let's say you had 15 top tier muscle cars that were just plain badassed. You owned all of them. Thing is you could only drive any 2 cars every year. Yeah sure you could choose between the cars and all of them are awesome but wouldn't you like to have the option at using any given car at any given time?
As for comparing Halo and it's 2 gun system to resistance please don't go there. I didn't particularly like the 2 gun system in Black because all the weapons were...
That Dive to prone option sounds awesome. I don't have the full game but i was in the beta. I'll definitely pick up Socom: Confrontation down the road after everything is more stable and streamlined.
The review is particularly pretty good. Though i just hated the comparisons to Half-Life 2. HL2 while it did have alot of running it felt like you were doing it because you were told to do so. Add that with the disconnect with the main (silent) character and it felt empty and hallow. Add onto that with horrible level design that tried to look "open" but was painfully linear. Also the shooting in HL2 was ho hum i know you had to be conservative with ammo but the guns were not only un...
