I find this highly amusing seeing as i've only had sex with the same (one) girl for the past 3 years.
It's more than just a "level editor". The sheer depth of tools you have and the possibilities you can do with the game stretch out farther than what alot of people think. Just look at the Gradius level (if you have the game) or the tic tac toe level. The things you can actually do if you put your mind to it is amazing. Calling it a mere level editor is a understatement.
Also you might have not known but there's one particular creator (his name escapes me at the moment)...
I'm not a big believer in pre-ordering. I prefer to just go to the store when the game gets released.
Now, now i wouldn't go that far. For one, Half Life(2) isn't "genre defining" for me. Since well i don't really like the game since it's boring (in my opinion) and i don't know why so many people sploog over themselves because of the game. But my FPS measuring stick is Deus Ex: The Conspiracy. A game that is HIGHLY hard to top because of the gameplay and story are both superb.
But i do believe Killzone will be a pretty fun game. Pretty good as well. Not genre defining, ...

Yeah my Ps3 had broked down on me back in August. Fortunately i already had beaten MGS4 and i was in the last month of my warranty. When i got it back i got a 3 month extended warranty. Every once in a while it'll freeze most notably when i'm playing TF2. But other than that it works like a charm.

I played more games but those are the only ones i feel worthy that i would put in my top anything list. Though i haven't really played that much Prince of Persia because i'm addicted to Mirrors Edge.
Yeah you're wrong about the QTE thing. Shenmue and Sword of the Berserker: Guts Rage both on the Dreamcast. I remember someone telling me about a game on Saturn that had QTE as well. So it's not the first, it just popularized it.
But i have to disagree God of War is very creative. The level design is top notch, the puzzles and the story are all very creative. I'd even say how the boss battles were pulled off was also creative. Probably not innovative (as much as i LOVE GoW) but ...
I can definitely agree with that sentiment. It wasn't as deep gameplay wise as San Andreas was and had quite the many features missing. But i don't think it wasn't as bad as some people say it was. Honestly i've never been a big gta fan. I usually would just play them at my friends house and do a few missions with them etc. I brought San Andreas and liked it alot. The gta stories back in the day were "fun" stories. Not really thought provoking or anything like that. I didn't say they were bad, but they certainly wasn't mature. Mafia's storyline was mature and more thought out. GTA games back then was more like climbing the criminal ladder and dealing with a weird cast of characters. I agree and disagree with you. The game certainly wasn't as bad as alot of people say it is. It was fun, the story was great (something i thought i'd never say about gta games period) and the cast of characters and voice acting was awesome. But as soon as i hit the missions for the mob the interest just dropped. It felt like a slag and the "same ole same ole". It damn there crippled the experience for me.

I wholeheartidly agree with the point about marketing games he mentions in the article. A simple 3 second clip of a game won't cut it when it comes to raising awareness for consumers. People know the Ps3 is there, but people don't exactly know about the games it has unless someone with a Ps3 tells them about some games. That's one thing MS and Ninty does right, they market the hell out of their games and raise consumer awareness alot.

Article makes a good point in the end. If things don't work out after the Ps4 (or whatever it'll be called) then they might start reconsidering building another console. But that's all "If's". If the Ps3 doesn't break even this gen. If the next playstation console doesn't break even next gen as well. Then they might start thinking about changing directions to software only.

There probably was.... Somehwere down the line but GoW has pretty much meant "God of War". GoW/2, GoW: CoO. GodoW just sounds like Samkon Gado's last name. Some obscure NFL running back that was a one year wonder. Useless pop culture reference aside GoW is pretty much synonymous with God of War.

That moniker sounds soooooooooo wrong it's not even funny. GeoW is what almost everyone i know refer to as Gears of War condensed version. Besides God of war was out first (i know you're just calling it GodoW to ruffle a few feathers).
Please refer to it as GoW. GodoW just sounds so wrong when you're referring to God of War. The original "GoW" moniker.
