It's like celebrating the day your parents announced they were pregnant with you instead of your actual birthday.
Marginally better at normal performance, but leaps and bounds better at RT and other features the 1080 will not be able to do.
My 2070 is slightly better than the 1080 and slightly under the 1080ti and I bought it for $500 on black Friday. And there is a new driver that just came out that allows the 2070 to run BFV at 1080p 60fps with RT now instead of borderline 30fps. So it does have it's benefits that way over the 1080ti even if it doesn't have the raw power. And...
Well I appreciate the mature response, unlike Razzer, but my comment was not to say I'm not excited for it at all. I am really looking forward to it, but I just laugh and cringe a little when you see these YouTubers react like they just won the lottery or something. Yes it's exciting, but they were losing their damn minds.
I don't typically care for the type of games that are getting censored anyway. They border on pedophilia with all the touching, groping, and sexual innuendos with school children and such...
That being said, I don't agree with censorship in the slightest so let these people ship the game they created. I don't believe that Sony or anyone else besides the child's parents needs to be the one "worrying about the children". Same goes for MT's/Lootbo...
Those dang crazy crackers.
I get that. I'm mostly talking about the YouTube reaction videos... They are a bit much. There is a difference between excited and acting like Jesus just descended from heaven before you.
What makes you say that? I've played TLoU. I'm commenting about the stupid YouTube overreactions.
People were that excited by it? I never take youtube reactions seriously... they always overreact to everything it is annoying.
The only game we can bench off of is BFV right now and even that game wasn't built from the ground up implementing RT in an efficient way. I'm interested to see how Metro Exodus will compare. They are using RTX not only for reflections but also for lighting, but they also have more time to tweak and get it all running better. I only picked up the RTX 2070, so if they can get it to 1080p 60fps with ultra Ray Tracing settings I'll be happy.
Well I picked up an RTX 2070 and I still use the Ray Tracing in the SP mode. I average 30fps on ultra settings for everything including the Ray Tracing. I figure if I played it on console I'd be getting 30fps on only medium settings and no ray tracing anyway so it's an improvement visually. When I play online, however, I turn that off and bump my resolution back up to 1440p with ultra settings and I get great performance.
I think everyone is hating on Ray Tracing a ...
Getting banned for life seems like less of a punishment and more of a blessing in this game.
Here’s how to sign up:
1. Head to the EA Community Playtesting site.
Site is down under maintenance... oh EA.
This recent update Shrouded Fog has been great. between the extra Megs, Krakens now attacking sloops, and the skeleton ships free roaming. It adds much more tension to each journey.
You can't buy the cosmetics with real world money.
It still has a decent fanbase that plays. I know Reddit isn't a proper place to judge activity, but there is always typically 1k people active on their reddit and then has spikes of activity when new content launches. Compare that to Spider-Man or GoW that are around 200-500 active.
Edit: I realize these are completely different kinds of games so compare it to No Mans Sky with a reddit activity of around 4k it seems. I think these games do better consistently then peop...
Even after reading the article I still don't understand how the Dreamcast is related to Netflix.
I doubt any at all considering this was a game heavily in development funded by another publisher before MS acquired them.
Well they figure getting 600k to sub for $10 is around equal if the game sells only 100k copies at $60.
It is a bit janky, but it's still a really fun RPG
This update will be bringing a big performance improvement for RTX cards for Ray Tracing so I don't mind waiting a bit.
