OK soundslike they've beefed it up. I will definitely get the DLC then. Thanks Immorals and ELit3Nick!
@uth11, I am with you on this one. I havent spent a dollar on microtransactions, and have seen no need to do so either. The game can be easily completed without the need for MT's.
@scatpants, how will this mentality of not using microtransactions be the bane of todays gaming? The game does not force you to use these MT's, the game doesnt honestly need that much patience to be able to beat it.
As excited as I am for this, I hope it's not like the Rally DLC on the first Horizon game. The Rally DLC only took like 3hrs to complete, therefore not wasn't worth the $$ IMO. As long as there are lots of races I will be happy.
Please explain how Microsoft's tactics has caused the overall hardware sales to drop from last year. I am interested to hear your quantitative analysis of the situation.
Me, I love these games. Used to ski and snow board, but knee injuries and then life got in the way. So when I play, I get to revisit my youth!
@amber - It's just too bad you weren't smart enough to make your link work. Looks like you wont be getting that top of the range Renault 5 now?
I feel bad when I run over people? Or animals like deer in the mountains.
The problem with banning something, is that it creates a desire from those that never had the banned object to find out why it was banned. Therefore creating a higher demand for the banned object.
Agreed, give me a fantastic story, fantastic graphics and fantastic setting, and you wont have to revolutionize the game play. From what I see, that is exactly what RAD is giving us.
Agreed, not that the game doesnt have faults, but it certainly doesnt deserve the hate. I think Ivory Tower did a fantastic job here, and I wish the game to be a financial success, because imagine what IT can do when they are just concentrating on current get consoles, and not last gen consoles also.
SO what you're telling me is that, when you drive a car 200kmh, and you enter a corner, the car naturally wants to try a drift like it does in DriveClub? That it automatically puts on drift mode? Dude, DriveClub is an arcade racer, it has been billed as an arcade racer by the developers of the game, they've even said they weren't going for the sim racer crowd. And you think it feels natural? Sorry, DriveClub is a lot of great things, but is is not a sim racer. And the driving is n...
LOL, you lost me at "Its car handling was sublime and far more realistic than forza".
The rest of your statement, I will agree with you! Other then why you would trade in a PS4 for a X1?
Ok so in the end I will only agree with this "the most stunning racing game I've ever played."
If you were to play Forza 5 and then quickly switch to and play Horizon 2 you would very quickly notice the difference between 30fps and 60fps.
Locked in 30fps, should be the bare minimum for racing games this generation. But the sheer size of the maps in open world racers like The Crew and Horizon certainly make it very difficult to achieve 60fps.
How true they must be hiding something!! I mean we only had an invite only beta and then a fully open beta. So yes they do not want us gamers to be informed!!
I don't know about all this "stepping up PS+ subscriptions", and causing people to buy PS+ because of the promise of getting some kind of version of DriveCLub hullabaloo!! $60 is a lot of money to spend on getting to try out a demo. I would think 99% of the people who purchased the one year subscription to PS+ on the PS4 did so they can game online. I doubt anyone purchased PS+ just to get a demo version of DriveClub!
Or cause a seismic rift that will finally seperate California from mainland USA. Causing a new republic to be born, where a guy by the name of Snake Plissken will try to escape from!
What if they buy it and enjoy it?
There is a setting for the steering, that if you tweak that it actually makes the handling so much better. Just too bad there isn't a setting to make the graphics better?
The motherland for me!! Moved to North America in the early 80's. Sadly haven't been back. But always makes me proud!!
Two racing games that came out about the same time, with no other real comparisons at the time, and still no other comparisons. So it's the only two racing games that you could really compare each other with right now. We will have the same when Forza 6 and Gran Turismo 7 come out.
