I thought that the definition of "gamer" is someone who enjoys playing video games. I had no idea you had to choose the "right" platform to earn that title.
If the non-gamer casual mom is dumb enough to buy a game for their kid with out knowing the content of the game then that may actually happen. As a parent and a gamer, I make sure I know the content of a game before I let my daughter play it.
You shouldn't put all the responsibility on the company trying to do what is inherent in business...sell product. The end consumer should do their due diligence before making a purchase, to ensure they don't buy crap.

Last Gen the same thing was done. Label it "game of the year edition", which meant, discounted price and all the dlc.

They just announced removing paywalls from apps, games with gold for xb1 and that it will be subscription based like ps+. I'm definitely excited to see the evolution of xbox live this generation.
Though it may not affect many people in terms of usage, it can definitely have a positive impact on the general public's perception of the Xbox brand.
The game looks pretty sick right now...we shall see what happens when it releases, but I think it should be a great change of pace from what a lot of other games offer while merging a bunch of stuff that other games have done before. Kinda like darksiders...familiar but fresh.
From what I've read in other articles, you can fully customize your character at the beginning of the game. Gender,hair color, layers of clothes, body type, etc.
That is correct...a lot of people disagree with facts around here. It's not the context of what was said, but what faction they presume you belong to. Sometimes N4G is like a high school popularity contest in the comment section.

This was totally expected. Some people are just professional trolls. Die hard xbots did it when the PS4 launched and now the sony drones are returning the favor. Do we really want any video game console to have a monopoly? That sounds risky and can lead to a stagnant industry that supplies many of us with hours of entertainment.

What a ridiculous article. I can understand people's contempt with Microsoft, but atleast use some facts in your rant to get your point across.
I don't think one is directly related to the other. There's no problem with enjoying some herb while enjoying some gaming. Back in my early days I became a master of Tekken 3 with Lei Wu Long due to some serious burn sessions and countless hours mastering combos in the dojo. No more of this for me though...career,kids,and day to day responsibilities keep it to a handful of sessions a year.
