Good article, I like his level-headed approach to the matter. It's not the resolution or FPS that stick in your memory when you aren't play, and it's not what makes you have fun while you are...but a good visual and smooth play contribute to the good overall feeling you get while playing. There are multiple aspects to this "resolution war":
1) Can you tell the difference? It's no doubt that at the moment PS4 has the easy/powerful hardware that is capable to rather consistently hit 1080p/60fps (or30fps). I'm sortta on board with this statement...I agree that the biggest driving factor to this game's success was it's story. So to do a sequel, the story would have to be PERFECT. The 1080p thing will go away for good in about a year or less after Devs start developing games with the new SDKs (most likely), then both consoles will be at the ceiling for this gen. At that point, POTENTIALLY, XB1 could take the lead graphically as it will be all about Texture quality (which is technically is already...which is why Ryse is said by many to be the best looking next gen game), and with DX 11.2 tiling XB1 will have much better access to textures at a moments notice than PS4 w...
This anonymous dev has been busy, making up quote after quote to a guy that is normally wrong after wrong. Not to mention that his "quote" makes me question his intelligence and neutrality. No, still WAY too early to tell. EVERYONE knew that PS4 would take an early lead...there are still too many top notch exclusives on XB1, and if the SDK's work out like they are rumored to be...then there's no way that XB1 is even close to being done.
Wow that was a pretty lame sound overdub...whoever did the sound editing for that should be fired (I did sound editing for a brief stint and EVEN I am better than this). The sound doesn't match up to what's on the screen at all...why even bother faking this? Just bad.

Yes of course it did....the simple fact that we KEEP seeing articles like this for AND against means that it did....I've NEVER seen a BETA get this sort of attention from those that loved it, and those that are trying to shoot it down because they hate it's success...
When a game's BETA gets more attention and press than ALL OTHER GAMES COMBINED...and 90% of them are positive, it's fair to say that it's lived up to the hype...you're never gonna pleas...

Seriously dude? You understand that this argument ONLY effects those that are weak enough to be concerned ONLY with resolution right? Anyone that owns Ghosts on XB1 already knows that there isn't such a huge difference (esp after the upscaller got fixed) that it makes a huge difference...chill out....XB1 owners will enjoy the more stable framerate while PS4 owners will enjoy the higher native resolution...everyone wins...your point is invalid.

Completely opinion based question, there really is no "right or wrong" answer. For me it's a no brainer, XB1 will have the better exclusives, it's the main reason that I cancelled my PS4 preorder, so I could just use that extra $500 to get games for now. However, a large number of the best games will be multi-plats for both consoles. As of right now this is what I have pre-ordered so far:
