Well technically MS is on board, they've been developing their own version for years, and judging by the patents that were leaked back in 2012, their headset is already more advanced (IF IF IF they are able to make it work like intended). So it's not that MS isn't on board, they just aren't quite rushing it yet. I think VR will succeed, but like every new good idea...it'll have to get past a rough start at first.
This is the smartest choice. MS has been innovative in every other area of console development from using broadband internet, to motion capturing, to the advancement of dedicated servers/cloud computing/ability to play games on a phone entirely through cloud based services, to even starting the idea of providing achievements for game accomplishments. All these things were met with criticism, and are now staples in the business. MS has been working with VR/AR for a while, but I think that w...
Ah, so close...I thought it was gonna be direct feed.
WOW this got approved fast
@True, you are assuming way too much. I didn't say anything about any system. I just like making fun of the bias this site has. I like all gaming systems. I've had every PS, Every Nintendo since NES except Super NES, and even a Dreamcast. I don't have a PS4 at the moment, but I have NO issues getting one at all as soon as they have an exclusive line up that appeals to me. I admit to an outsider, that doesn't know me, I can see...
I can see this being a rough average score. It was a little worrisome when IGN and PSNation...places that normally hand out 10s for PS exclusives like it's mandatory both gave the game a 9. Still a very respectable score, I'm sure that it will live up to the reviews in that the gameplay will be very fun, but that the story isn't engaging and easily forgettable. That being said, anyone thinking that this game won't sell like crazy is delusional. There's over 6 mil PS4 g...
To be fair, most XB1 fans don't believe this nonsense at all. It seems like Sony fanboys make a much bigger deal out of it than XB1 fanboys do. I for one don't listen to ANY of these "insiders" as I am right on insider information more than they are, and I have no true connections
Edit: I understand that there are delusional morons on both sides of these "console wars" in fact just picking a side makes you a moron...and NOT a gamer in my opinion...
I think that with the big three (MS, Sony, and Occulus) all making VR sets, it will become great (esp if the MS patents turn out to be as awesome as they look). That being said, I don't think it will take off in the first gen of these devices. I think it will take some refinements and enhancements to make sure that movement latency is minimal and that the visuals are good enough to make motion sickness practically non-existant. Even with little motion sickness people will only want to ...
Exactly...this and the fact that every PS4 only gamer says they don't care about Titanfall is EXACTLY why signing an exclusive contract doesn't hurt Respawn/EA at all...there was no missed market here. Why would PS4 owners lie? The fact that they are always the first and most dominant posters in an article about a game they care nothing about is PROOF that they don't care and that the game is stupid...just COD with mechs. XBots are just too stupid to wish for Uncharted or Infam...
UH...how did this get approved? The point of the demo had NOTHING to do with XB1...why are you acting surprised and trying to create drama out of nothing? Please learn the facts before you post an article that is so glaringly wrong that it just makes you look stupid in front of everyone that knows the deal...
I have to say, as a MGS fan from the beginning....I was really hoping the reviews early on for this game were wrong...I bought the game anyway (DL...so I can't even trade it in). It looks gorgeous, but it just feels stale. Not even addressing the shortness (it's cheaper...fine), there are SO MANY missed opportunities in this game so far...why can't I put bodies in dumpsters or hide in there myself? Why do most doors in the game not open and allow me to go in the building? Why ...
Hmmmm....this news mixed with the fact that MS had Halo 4 running on a phone a year ago using cloud servers at less than 54ms....then purchasing Nokia and then wanting to get Xbox Live onto Phones...the pieces are falling together..
Still a great score, but this is from IGN, the house that usually hands Sony games 10s when they don't deserve it.
Nice, sounds like great things are in the pipeline. Does anyone know if DX 12 will also incorporate the tiled resources of DX 11.2? If so, that could be a HUGE game changer. 50% more efficient CPU AND allowing the Ram to instantaneously control 6gb worth of textures with 32mb of RAM/eSRAM...good lord that would be a HUGE boost to gaming...although if that was the case I'm sure they would have said that by now. (And NO, I'm not getting that from MisterX...I don't listen to ANY ...
A lot of people will assume I'm just trolling, but seriously, this isn't a surprise at all. There are 6mil PS4 owners that are dying for a game to play. We all know that no matter what scores this game gets, it'll sell like crazy. I.E. Killzone
Alright here we go with these couch game experts again.
A) Respawn has said straight up SEVERAL times officially, that Titanfall could not run on PS4 in it's current state. Not because of the hardware, but because of the lack of network support....fact, look it up yourself. Respawn approached Sony and MS about this game, and ONLY MS had a solution for it...fact...don't believe me, head over to Respawn's official website and read it for yourself. This isn't t...
I think VR can and will change gaming forever, not necessarily Project Morpheus as it'll just be one of three major versions of the same tech...plus I don't think it will really take off until the second gen. It appears that VR at this point is little more than a screen on your face that responds to movement...(which honestly you don't need much more) but as visuals improve and movement latency improve it will become more and more desirable for gamers...at this point it may do no...
I'm glad to see that all the companies are pushing this innovation. It was smart for Sony to announce theirs first, that way it appears that they were the first console to actually develop this, however, MS has had patents for this tech for years, and it was in development for far longer than that before reaching the patent stage. Based on the patent they released last year (on top of the earlier ones). I'd say MS's best bet now is to sit back and refine it, make sure it does e...
...but it won't sell on PS4. All Sony gamers think it over-rated and just "cod with mechs". :/ That would be a horrible waste of money. Plus Sony would seriously have to upgrade their network to make this TF2 possible. Not unheard of, but right now they don't have the network structure.
That being said, I can't wait for TF2, because TF is a ton of fun. It'd also be interesting to see the next game include the VR aspect (esp since the AR design MS...
Uh, both of those guys are morons...they are both wrong more than they are right...any one that gives them or CBOAT, Famous Mortimer etc and grain of credit needs to get examined...they are all wrong more than they are right...and I'm right about inside stuff as much as they are. They only thing they are good for is rumors...that you should then research from credible sources. As far as DX 12, very little has been said publicly from credible sources...but what HAS been said looks to all...
I don't get how this makes sense...unless it's SOOOO massive that they are planning on canning the 360 version there is no point in delaying. Are we trying to say that having to wait 2 extra weeks (or whatever it is) would convince someone to get an XB1 if they didn't want one? Maybe I just don't get this...
