...and boys. It just shows that girls are becoming gamers more often...so what?
Everyone knows the pure hardware stats, and yes XB1's hardware will never overtake PS4s hardware. However, saying that no software update will ever bridge the gap is rather ignorant. Software sure can make the difference. If it allows the hardware to do the same thing at a fraction of the cost (which this does), it most certainly can bridge any gap created by hardware. IF the statements by the 3RD Parties about this new stuff pans out to be true, not only will it bridge that gap, but ...
@Lukas, I do get what you mean about not wanting to buy DLC that easily could have been released with the game, but for the record, at PAX they flat out said that this DLC started after the game was released...it's not just maps that didn't make it into the final game. I got the Pass for this game, so I'll be grabbing it, but to each their own.
It does seem like 3 maps isn't a lot for DLC, but Maps on Titanfall aren't like regular MP maps...they are much ...
No issues on XB1 so far...in fact maybe it's just "placebo affect" but it almost feels smoother...although I know they said there were no performance fixes in this one.
I was watching this Twitch video...everyone knows this is just a "public" answer...they know what they are doing. They may consider doing something else before TF2, so that they don't get stuck doing ONLY TF, but everyone knows they will come back to it. They may not want to get known as just another COD that releases every year.
Really not a huge difference according to this video.
Nice!!! This will be fun
Nice job, I do love the XB1 controller more, but to be honest the new PS4 controller actually made progress with the sticks...they are already much more like the XB controllers...that and the weight are much better. I still like the layout better and the triggers better on the XB1 controller though.
"Stomps" is a very lose definition of the word. Nothing is stomping anything else...and if the top spot is XB related...how is it Sony on top? Another way that this title could have been flamebait spun is that XB1 has more games worth buying that PS4...and PS4 games are only worth renting (Why would anyone rent Titanfall on XB1? ...on 360 it makes sense, you'd want to see if it's good enough or if you should make the next gen jump yet). Or that PS4 fans are simply just che...
As someone that has played both...I can tell you that in my opinion without a single ounce of regret, Titanfall is BY FAR the better of the two games. MS being quiet isn't a shocker, anyone acting like this is surprise either isn't paying attention, or purposely trying to create something out of nothing. MS has REPEATEDLY said that they don't release news on numbers more than quarterly, it's not something they do. They feel that doing it that way is more accurate and they c...
I enjoy my XB1 the most, no matter what specs say on paper. So far it hasn't translated to the screen enough to matter, and other aspects that XB1 has that PS4 doesn't makes more of a positive difference to me (i.e. better network, exclusives IMO, and even that I like the controller much more. I also like the Kinect for "soft features" not gaming). Not to mention that even without DX12 and potential Cloud Computing the gap created by PS4 hardware is already shrinking...so...
Most of these issues just come down to personal preference. I own both consoles, but I can tell you that right now my XB1 gets A TON more attention. I can tell you that in my opinion, XB1 wipes the floor with PS4 in every area except for two. Right now the hardware for PS4 is easier to work with and more powerful so it is EASIER to reach the 1080p/60fps mark, but even then PS4 can't do both most of the time when it comes to AAA titles (indies are a wash because XB1 can do 1080p/60fps a...
Both consoles are gonna go through a natural drought for the next month or so, it always happens this time of year before E3, and all the major games come out closer to Christmas time. I think the reason that PS4 seems to have such a worse drought it that the quality of games they have lined up seem less impressive. The only exclusives on PS4 that even come to mind are Drive Club, Order, Deep Down, Last of Us and FF14. When you stack that against Quantum Break, GoW, Halo 2 Anniversary, Hal...
Meh, this topic is old...just like all the other times there won't be a noticeable difference. After seeing more advanced games run better...it just appears that this is a developer issue, not an XB1 issue.
You need a tv bigger than 55in from less than four feet away to even tell the difference between 1080p and 720p...or else the naked eye can't even notice it...it's a fact. If you need to play it in slow motion on a PC screen less than a foot from your face to ...
Sorry, I REALLY wanted to like this game...I even bought it in digital format so that I couldn't trade it in after beating it. But if I spend more time watching the end credits than playing the game...it's a tech demo. I looks great, but honestly there HAS to be a programing issue here. If the WHOLE GAME was 4 gb, and you can fit the WHOLE thing on RAM...how can you NOT get it to run at 1080p when much more demanding games do on the XB1? Either Hideo struck some deal with Sony on ...
Not even close...Halo 4 was the best in the series by a long shot.
This article is clearing just a fanboy rant. You can tell in the intro. He starts with saying that DX12 will allow xbox owners to play games in true HD rather than 720p ...anyone that brings this up as their first point is flat out a fanboy, plain and simple. There are what...2 or 3 games on XB1 that are 720p? ...and when compared to their PS4 counterpart (if their is one) you can't really even tell the difference.
MS already is talking with their games, and have shown...
Stand by for troll comments filled with projection.
Excellent deal....grab it.
@Blackleg I don't get why everyone throws that argument around...I've had an XB1 since day one, I knew what I was getting into...I'm not even remotely pissed, my XB1 has given me 5 months of enjoyment...I feel like I've already gotten my $500 (plus games) worth out of it...let alone whatever $50-$100 discount they hand out. No, in fact I'm happy to see that MS is already comfortable with the costs enough that they can allow fo...
Nice, it's good to see more and more devs say that they are happy working with the Azure cloud/servers. It does help point out that aside from dedicated servers and compute abilities, another often over-looked, yet equally important aspect is how easy and flexible Azure is to use...great news for devs is great news for gamers.
Wow people get really butthurt over this topic. Everytime the slightest news comes out about the cloud, waves of fanboys come and try and smothe...
