MS has already started it's comeback. If you have paid attention through ALL of Xbox history you'd see that they only announce their sales reports quarterly. There is absolutely nothing "ominously silent" about it...please stop creating drama where there isn't any.
It definitely is moving in the right direction. They were their own undoing in the beginning, and then combining that with it's direct competition being $100 cheaper...they were dead in the water. They are making the right moves now already. Combine this with upcoming exclusives, opening new studios, POTENTIAL of Cloud/DX12 (if they are even a fraction of their demos...it'll be a welcomed step forward). If E3 goes the way many people speculate, it could get really competitive real...

Why does every arcade/indie game that comes to PS4 HAVE to wear the tag that it's 1080p/60fps? It's an arcade/indie game....it BETTER.
@ace... I guess man, but it seems like this gen it's already the "rare" not the norm that these style games CAN't do it. I can even think of a single one on ANY system (Wii U, PS4, XB1) that can't do it.
There will be a Res difference on paper for sure. Like all other times it won't be a huge difference if at all when it finally hits the screen, but those that want it to be a huge deal will swear up and down that it is. That's ok, there will be a PC version to play as well. I think people just like blowing this topic out of proportion, it's never really as big of a deal as it's made out to be, and it's just used to create drama.

Awesome, nice to constantly hear more great things about both of these. The future is looking bright for gamers. In all honesty, we are already getting spoiled lately. There isn't a single game that looks bad on new gen consoles, and this year looks to have more games coming out that I HAVE to have than any other year in gaming I can remember.

I haven't seen anything saying that I got my update yet (although I should have), but what I have noticed is that the menus and voice commands are even better than they already were. Now it seems like I say something, and it's there almost instantly. I remember them saying they were doing some UI fixes, this must be them, because it's been so smooth for the last 24 hours or so. Nice job. Keeps getting better.
You should have thought so, that's what they said in the beginning....it just makes it more efficient, doesn't physically change the speed. Not sure why this is a surprise, no one has actually said any different. They've said things like "essentially" and more efficient, but nothing else as far as I know. As far as this specific middle ware goes, past providing more efficient CPU usage (faster processing), DX12 doesn't change this middleware at all...uh, ok.
Other than the one screen with the arrows in his bag, it's really not that noticeable. Yeah you can notice, but it's not a HUGE difference.

Decent look into exclusives for last gen, however, I would suggest removing GT5 and Kinect Adventures for a more realistic look as the majority of sales for both of those titles were due to the fact that they came with the console than people actually going out and buying them.
I'm not really sure this game will boost console sales that much to be honest. It was a good game, but the graphical difference between the PS3 and PS4 version isn't very noticeable so far. It's a great story driven game, but once you beat it, there is little to no reason to ever play it again.
