Don't we have to pay for PS now? If so then that's not backwards compatibility. Ithink it's going to be a great service since I'll be able to enjoy ps3 games I didn't get a chance to play but once you have to pay for games you already own to play on the ps4 then it loses that title.
Too bad people expected a higher player count even though there was no mention of a large amount of players in this game.
People are looking for a reason to bash the xbox one, is killzone a disappointment because it's not 64 players online like Battlefield or because it couldn't do 256 like mag? Nope it wouldn't work for that game.

How is 12v12 more next gen than 6v6 when we had tons of FPS games with that player count (12v12) last gen.
Player count doesn't make every multiplayer game, it really depends on how it's designed. The first gears of war was 4v4 and it was one of the best experiences last gen.

Most people in the U.S own pc's if you want to play those few exclusive indie games that are starting to make their way to the new consoles that's fine. I'm sure some people will find it useful however 500 dollars and you can't even play windows based games. Install windows? another $100.00 if you get the builders version.

I thought this machine wouldn't run any windows games? It is made mainly to run games so media out of the box wont be happening. If you're savvy enough you can definitely use it as a multimedia machine but no bluray is a big no no. The xbox one is ready to go as soon as you plug it in plus they have their own exclusives. The big question is what will steambox bring to the table besides improved graphics? What are some major exclusives lined up for it? I have a pc so there's no need for me to make a switch but from what I've heard this thing wont even have a blu ray player and the processor hasn't been disclosed for the $500.00 model.

I have it for pc, I doubt it will an improvement over the pc version and I got it for $15 through amazon so I already have the (next gen version) for a nice discount. :)

What processor is this system using it only states multicore amd processor unless its an fx 8320 or fx 8350 amd processor it wont be a beast that's for sure.

I live in the U.S and don't own an xbox one so I couldn't tell you how well they work. The only thing I was stating is that the xbox one has more multi media features. I know people say that these media features don't matter, but it matters to most of us. the only thing I want is to be able to link my pc to the ps4 and I'll be 100% satisfied with the console or at least let me connect a usb drive to watch my movies.
That's for true, I purchased a ps4 and will eventually purchase an xbox one not a big deal. All of the consoles on the market trump their competitor in one category or another. It's all about what's important to you.
I think to the average consumer the pricepoint is the deciding factor. Both systems will produce similar visuals the 399 price is their ace in the hole. I highly doubt the xbox will ever catch up but it will sell really well.

As far as multimedia capabilities the xbox one is in a league of its own. IMO the ps4 is the better gaming option if you care about eye candy which most of us do.

The ps4 doesn't even support DLNA which is something I enjoyed on the ps3 and 360 and while you may not want or need the more robust media feature set the xbox one offers, I would definitely welcome it on the ps4 if it didn't take away from any processing power ...
