Lots of companies file their earning reports in finacial years/seasons not natural years/seasons. Not only in Japan, companies such as Microsoft do the same. I thought that's quite nomal.
Lenovo is a big pc manufacturer in China, even in the world, listed in HK. This company established its global reputation when bought IBM's PC Business.
When found rivals could not came into local market, you surely will make some move.
BTW, Chinese companies struggle their best in globalization. Cruel markets need this kind of company rather than some kind of nokia, RIM, even microsoft.
