People saying MGS4 wasnt a system seller. Maybe it has to do with how MGS4 bundled with a 500 dollar system can sell so well. Since I havent seen any news on that sku but I know the MGS4 bundle is selling out almost everywhere. I think it has to do with BC in these sku's aswell and if u are a big fan of BC, then this is the best bundle pack for u or maybe even the last of them so I can see this bundle selling very well for a while until the demand dies out or no one wants to fork out 500 dollars anymore but as for now, it seems like people dont care about the price because they know its a great deal regaurdless and ...
I really think everyone is overhyping Left 4 Dead and forgetting that Resident Evil 4 did win GOTY at its time. Resident Evil 5 looks to take it up a notch especially with the AI being smarter. Anyone who has played RE4 on its hardest mode will tell u just how hard that mode was especially when u had to try an gaurd that girl from getting killed by the enemies. I think this game is really getting overlooked and easilly will be one of the top canidates for GOTY 2009.

Packed with fast gameplay action u wont find in another action game. The downside though was how could u not create a decent story atleast to go with such an awesome game? That is the only area I find that is weak about this series. Other then that its the best action game out there despite the bad reviews. Team Ninja should take notes from God of War and create an epic story to go with the epic gameplay in the Ninja Gaiden series.
It just looks like another run and gun fest but with zombies. I am more hyped for Resident Evil 5 more then this. I think ill wait for reviews first before making my purchase.

If I were sony Id look at just how great the sales are for this sku bundled with MGS4 and id make 2 80gb sku's. One with no BC and sell it at $299 and an 80gb sku with BC and sell it at $399. I am sure both these sku's would sell out in the holiday season and will sell very well leading into the new year, especially if there are bundles coming with these sku's.
I think it is safe to say that sony had a great July aswell in the US. I am sure though that the 360 will have had a boost aswell with the price cut but it is still very impressive to see MGS4 Bundles continue to sell out at the price of 500 dollars.
Where the 360 had RROD which was big enough proof for anyone that the 360 does have problems isnt good enough proof? The 360 does have an awesome library of games, but im not going to sit here and say the machine is an amazing art of work because in reality I still worry that it could die on me anytime. Had it RROD on me once already and let me tell u, sitting and waiting for your system to be repaired aint fun, luckilly I have a wii and a ps3 also incase of something like this ever to happen...
I think sony did know MGS4 would sell them alot of units for that month but I dont think they even knew the demand for it was going to be this high. I mean this MGS4 bundle seems to be selling out everywhere it is sold at and I think a main part of that reason also has to do with people trying to get Backward Compatible with there 80gb before sony brings in the new 80gb sku's which will not have BC in them. U tend to attract alot more reviews then expected. I have been keepin track of MGS4 reviews and so far there almost 300 reviews just for this one game. The most I ever seen for any 1 game. Shows u just how big this game is.
