Nintendo just isn't willing to give into the pay for play program that's all. The best thing that Nintendo can do now and continue to do in the future is make the games themselves and continue the collaborations like Hyrule Warriors and SMTXFE. I think a brand new Metroid game in the Prime series with 4v1 multiplayer could be epic.
I think people are just jumping on the fanboy thing to say when mentioning that they are destroying the competition, so they have nothing to worry about. I think with Sony it's more than that! They want to understand this success so they can capture it in a bottle and hopefully repeat it the next time around.

I want to see them bring Eternal Darkness HD, Kid Icarus Uprising REmake, work with EA to publish Rogue Squadron 1&2 in HD, Mario 64 REmake, Fzero GX HD. Then release a N-Xtreme Sports series and put Excite Truck HD, Excite Bike HD, Wave Race BS HD, and 1080 Snowboarding HD on 1 disc for $60 and add an online component straight out of MK8.

Yeah your comment is not completely sound. Yes Nintendo has some responsibility, but I don't think paying for exclusive content from 3rd party developers is a good road for Nintendo to follow down. They need to multiply their first party projects and crossover titles like Hyrule Warriors and SMTXFE to provide more exclusives content but not pay for play.
If you own a WiiU you would understand that the 3rd party support has been hobbled from those companies from the beginning...
Sony will offer their games on mobile before Nintendo does. Plus to try and make PSNOW successful, they might have to put the service on phones and tablets.

Well right now Sony isn't putting anything more than remastered games and I have no clue why people think that the WiiU will be short lived. Nintendo's next system will probably launch a year or so before PS5. There will be great games on all 3 systems, but people are delusional if they think that Nintendo won't have any games at all besides the ones we currently know of.
Considering MK8 was only out to effect 1 month during this financial quarter, these articles are a little pointless really. The next quarter should be more telling of if they are out of the woods when it comes to finances.
I think this Zelda has the potential to do what Ocarina of Time has done for the series. Zelda art styles are always polarizing, but it never makes the impact if the games are actually good or not. Game play is paramount and I have no doubt that this will be the most immersing Zelda ever!
Here's what I love about the new Zelda, I've always wanted to see it go in a more anime inspired style. But I also hope that they "remaster" Twilight Princess and use the tech demo as a target goal similar to what was done with WWHD.
Here's what people are not taking into account. That WiiU has picked up sales outside of the holiday shopping season. MK8 is going to get another major boost in November along with SmashBros because these types of games push hardware during this time of year.
The more baffling part is that gamers who own PS3'S and PS4's usually brag about all the great new IP Sony puts out and how they love making new games. Yet the best selling title on the PS4 Is a 3rd party game(Watchdogs), to which most people are now universally declaring this game to having one of the most boring and uninspired lead characters in recent memory. They don't like trying anymore, because even though you get backwards compatibility for free on your WiiU! They like paying for theirs either by way of Remastered games or PSNow.
